“Are you still taking clients?” Elliot asks.
Bianca looks over at us, her jaw dropping when she sees me. Elliot called ahead, but I suppose my presence is still a shock to her after everything she’s been through.
“You’re an hour late,” she says pointedly.
“We didn’t anticipate such heavy traffic,” Elliot replies.
“Do you want what I do for the Hunks?”
“You know it.”
It’s impossible not to laugh as Bianca waxes my baby brother, although he handles it well. Next, she tans him, and I have to admit, she’s just as good as the people my clients go to.
“Hey, could we have a moment alone?” I ask when she’s done.
Bianca nods.
“You guys can take my room,” Vanessa offers.
Once the door is closed, I say, “I wanted to tell you I’m sorry for the way I treated you. I was terrible, and I regret that.”
“It’s fine. I’m in a good place now, and that’s thanks to you.”
“You’re dating a literal prince, so yeah, that checks, but I just wanted to say that it was never personal. I was angry at…the whole fucking world.”
“Are you still?”
I smile. “Not since meeting Toxic.”
“I have to admit, your coupling stumped me.”
“Same.”
“Are you excited for…” Her eyes travel to my round stomach.
“The droid?”
“Droid?”
“Baby. Toxic and I call it a droid. And yes, I’m very excited.”
“So…what’s going to happen now?”
I wink. “Well, I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but you’re going to have to get used to seeing a lot more of me.”
Bianca nods. “I think I can live with that, but Natasha might try to kill you.”
Deciding not to overstay the conversation, I exit the small room and call over my shoulder, “I’d love to see her try.”
Taking a deep breath, I prepare to issue my next apology.
Natasha is inside the venue, setting up the VIP area.
“Eh-hem.”
Natasha’s eyes flicker with hostility when she sees me.
“I was, ah, hoping we could talk.”
