Toxic and I exit his office, and I swear, he looks as excited as a child on Christmas morning.

And it’s all because I want to spend time with him.

Good lord, this man is going to ruin me.

“Is there anything I can do to make your stay more comfortable?” he asks.

“No, but if you’ll excuse me, there is something I need to take care of.”

“Yeah, I should probably get a workout in before the show.”

After he bends to kiss me, I make my way upstairs to Vanessa’s cubby, because sometimes the only way to stop drama is by creating a bit of it yourself.

“Could you do me a favor?” I ask Vanessa as she lifts a big mug of coffee to her lips.

After taking a sip, she clears her throat and says, “I’ve already created six social media accounts on various platforms on top of sorting through content ideas all night. Isn’t that enough?”

“I’m sure picking up those dresses and the cache of makeup was a real chore, too.”

She smirks. “Okay, it hasn’t been all bad.”

I hand her a bottle of the Color Me Pretty tanning lotion I picked up at the drugstore. The one I just reformulated in the bathroom. “Could you have Slay use this?”

She turns the bottle over in her hand to read the label. “Why don’t you?”

“If my father knew I was helping the Hunks, I’d be called back home and he’d do everything in his power to undo my good work, and something tells me Natasha won’t keep her mouth shut.”

She frowns. “Maybe she wouldn’t be so hostile if you weren’t such a bitch to her.”

“Since I’ve arrived at the bus, I’ve hardly said two words to her.”

“What about before you got here?”

“I hardly interacted with her. She keeps thinking that I’m trying to lure Bianca away, and yet, she’s not coming back and I’m still here.”

“For only a few more days.”

“Add a week to that.”

Vanessa’s jaw drops.

“It’s only so that I can continue my work with the Hunks. I have over two dozen brands eager to do business with Carl and if I were to leave now, it would make it harder to get products to the bus while you’re on the road.”

She nods slowly. “I guess that makes sense.”

“Now could you please have Slay use this?”

“Why him?”

“Because most of the other Hunks have a naturally tanned skin tone.”

She giggles. “That makes sense. What should I tell him if I’m not allowed to say you’re getting us sponsors?”

“Just say the brand approached you and they’re interested in his thoughts. Have him take a picture with it.”

“Okay, fine.”

She disappears and I wait for the next part of my plan to kick off. It doesn’t take long before he comes upstairs and glares at me before entering the bathroom.
