As we continue to dance as if we’re the only two people in the room, I hear the audience cooing, but Nickoi remains my sole focus.

I softly sing to him, and he gazes at me in admiration. My head rests on his chest as I savor the moment.

“Babe?”

“Yes, mami,” he replies, his eyes locked on me.

I look up through my lashes.

“You make me feel everything she’s singing. That’s why I love this song.”

“Yeah?” he smiles, and I tiptoe to kiss him, eliciting an “aww” from the guests.

“Yes.”

After our intimate dance, we began dancing to “Mama’s Hand” with our babies.

“Me? Love this gone to bed,” Sash smiles.

“Nuh true, mi wah piece a tissue,” Gavin sighs with a grin. The enthusiastic guests shower us with compliments, but my attention is on these gems in my arms.

Afterward, I hand them to Ms. Cherry and share a little dance with Aden, who humorously tells me how much he’s hurting because I’m getting married. Everyone laughs.

Then I danced with my family, friends, and Nickoi’s family while he did the same. When it was his turn to dance with Sash, the joy on her face was priceless.

With a smile, I enjoyed the entertaining performances, but as always, Nickoi had a surprise in store for me. I could hardly believe my eyes when I spotted my favorite actor in person.

During his stand-up comedy, I found myself laughing until I cried. It was simply delightful.

Nickoi had promised he would bring him, but I didn’t take it seriously… so I had forgotten about it.

He chatted with me for a while, and I spent the entire time wondering if I was dreaming. Turns out, I wasn’t.

When it’s time to cut the cake, I can’t help but smile. Everything this man does is extraordinary, and his surprises keep getting better. Look at that cake, it’s even taller than I am!

I can’t stop staring.

“Aw, I love you,” I say with a cute pout while gazing at him.

He smirks back.

The actor playfully nudges him, earning a few laughs. “Aww, she loves you maaan,” he says in a mock voice, making us all chuckle. Nickoi facepalms himself while laughing. This man is truly brightening my day with his humor.

He hands us the sword to cut the giant cake. I take it, and Nickoi places his hand over mine as he towers over me. We slice a piece, and my mother steps forward, capturing the moment on her phone.

Everyone applauds as he places the cake on the fork, and I open my mouth for a bite. As soon as it’s in my mouth, I lean in to kiss him, feeding him the cake.

“Ouu!”

After we’ve eaten and enjoyed some champagne and of course, Nickoi had his Hennessy our friends shared fun stories about us that left us laughing. An hour later, the atmospherefeels like a party after sending the kids home with Ms. Cherry and the other elders. People are dancing, drinking, and having a blast.

I close my eyes and toss the bouquet behind me, which lands perfectly in Lee’s hands. We hug, we laugh, we take pictures, and play a few games afterward. Nickoi and I decides to play the shoe game right after we jumped the broom. Mana wouldn’t be happy if we didn’t jump the broom she made.

Now it’s time for fun. We stand on the floor while everyone watches.

“Who’s the emotional one?” Rick asks. Nickoi immediately raises my shoe, causing everyone to laugh.

“Who said ‘I love you’ first?”
