A part of me has a feeling she’s done things like this a lot. No judgement here, but I’m used to taking my time. Hell, I like going slow. The more pleasure I can give the woman I’m with, the more it turns me on.
“I can see that.” I press soft kisses along her shoulder, trying to slow the pace. She shifts her body until I’m between her and the bed. She captures my mouth and leans into me until I fall backwards. It’s a miracle her lips never left mine with the sudden shift in movement. My hands are around her waist to keep her steady.
Her legs straddle my hips, and she runs a finger along my arm until she reaches one of my hands. She guides it between her legs and moans as I slip a finger inside. This isn’t how I usually start foreplay, but I’m shocked by how much it turns me on. My dick twitches with every pump of my fingers and her gasps into my mouth.
One of her hands is on my shoulder and the other is tracing a line along my chest and down. Without warning, her hand encircles my dick and I buck at the contact. Holy shit. This woman really knows what she wants. She shifts her body until she’s over me, and I remove my hand, placing it on her hip.
She slides down slow and steady before rocking back and forth. Her breathing picks up speed and she breaks the kiss. Her long light brown hair is a curtain around us, her eyes focused on me, watching my reaction. Bending down, she kisses along my jawline, and I wrap my hands in her hair.
The rocking intensifies and I’m going to come before she has. Something that I swear hasn’t happened to me before. At least, not to my knowledge. I feel her tighten around me and I can’t hold back any longer. Gripping her hair tighter, I lift her face until my mouth meets hers. Letting our kiss swallow my moans of pleasure. I’m not sure how thin her walls are, and I don’t want to be the reason a neighbor gets pissed off.
She deepens the kiss, our tongues twirling as she rocks into me one, two, three more times and I know she’s orgasmed. She pulls her mouth from mine and collapses on top of me.
“Thank you.” She whispers against me chest.
“Actually, I should be thanking you.” I grin into the darkness.
She slides off of me. “I’m gonna go clean up. There’s another bathroom in the hall.”
“Okay.” I watch her walk to the bathroom connected to her room before getting up to take care of the condom.
Kate has definitely rocked my world tonight. Despite the mixed feelings she kept throwing my way, she takes what she wants. It’s something I can admire. But now, I don’t know what happens next.
Chapter Three
Kate
Bright rays of light hit me in the face, and I sit straight up. Damn it, what time is it? I glance at my phone on the nightstand and jump out of bed when I see it’s after nine. “Fuck, I’m late.”
Xander shifts in the bed, turning away from the windows. I can’t believe I let him stay over last night. That defeats the whole purpose of a one-night stand. But he was sweet, and we ended up watching horrible informercials while drinking wine until later than I usually stay up.
I grab my robe off the hook on the back of my door before heading to the other side of the bed. I push his shoulder until he wakes up. “Sorry to do this to you, but you need to go. I’m late for work.”
“Oh,” he rubs a hand down his face trying to get his bearings, “do you want me to drive you or anything?”
“No,” I shake my head, “I still need to get ready and look somewhat decent.”
“Okay,” he throws the comforter off of him and finds his clothes on the floor, “I’ll, um, see you around.”
He’s taking this pretty well. I haven’t done the whole morning after conversation since I was in college. It never stops being awkward. “I’m sure you will.”
I don’t even bother making sure he leaves before I head to the bathroom and try to make myself presentable. A shower is out because I don’t have the time. We’re all supposed to be meeting about hiring folks this morning and I need to get to the shop as soon as possible.
Last night wasn’t exactly a bad choice, but it definitely wasn’t one I should have made. This is what happens when I get too in my feelings instead of thinking logically. The smart thing would have been to come home and binge watch TV. It’s a little too late for should’ve, would’ve, could’ve though.
Now that I’m in a fresh set of clothes, I feel slightly better. Makeup isn’t happening today. I grab my favorite gloss and shove it in my pocket before exiting my bedroom.
Xander is nowhere to be seen when I enter the living room. There is a corner of one of the magazines torn, though. What the hell? I know it wasn’t like that last night. Grabbing my keys, I see the torn bit of paper next to them. A number is scrawled across with Xander’s name printed on top.
I guess my shifting moods last night didn’t scare him off. Not that I have any intention of calling him. Last night was fun, and that’s all it was supposed to be. I leave the paper right where it is and head out the front door. If there is any luck on my side, somebody brought breakfast because I don’t have time to stop. Especially since I’m walking. Maybe I should have let him drive me over.
“Well, well, well,” my brother calls out as soon as I walk through the shop door. “Look who finally decided to show up.”
“You don’t have to be an ass, Kai.” I argue. Today is the day I’m regretting letting him work here. “If you’re going to be mean, please tell me, you at least have food.”
“I didn’t realize you could be bought so easily.” He smirks and pushes over the box of pastries sitting on the cabinet.
“So, what did I miss?” Grabbing a jelly filled donut, I take a bit. The only thing that would make this better is a cup of coffee. I’m awake, but not completely.
