She continued burning a hole into the stage curtain with her eyes, as if she could see right through it. “The things I would do to get with him would get me locked right the hell up.”

That was a little intense, but she wasn’t wrong about how good looking that boy was.

“I’ll see you later,” she said. “I’ve got to catch up with a couple other people.”

An odd sensation settled in my stomach. Something about the way Cynthia has lusted after Jaeson rubbed me the wrong way. Maybe I was just letting jealousy get the better of me.

“And now, your eligible bachelors!” Tiffany said over the microphone.

I settled in for the ride, trying not to get my hackles up at the thought of a bunch of girls bidding on my guys.

I hoped I would make it through this all right.
