Her eyes flew open at the command in his voice, as he continued the torture of his slow and deliberate thrusts. ‘I need to look into your eyes and see that you choose me, that you choose us, that you’ll stay with me—because if you don’t, I’ll lose my mind.’

Abhay pleaded with such sincerity that the last of her defences crumbled into ashes.

She cupped his face with her trembling hand and said, ‘I choose you, Abhay. I need you. And… I’m done running.’

Joy shone in his eyes, making the brown in them shimmer. He rewarded her with a deep thrust, making her clench around him with a gasp.

‘You’re mine, jaan, in this life and in every one after, and I’ll make sure I spend every night on my knees, reminding you of that,’ Abhay vowed.

She wanted to tell him that he was etched in every fibre of her being, but he didn’t give her a chance.

His calloused palm found the curve of her behind and he pulled her flush against him as he began to thrust harder. She tried to smoother her whimpers against his shoulder but he pulled her head back with a tug of her hair, unwilling to miss out on her pleasure.

Inch by inch, he filled her and she met his every thrust with equal fervour. Every stroke brought her to the brink of insanity as he continued his slow and steady torment on her. She could only moan, begging for more as the rush of her release became too intense to bear.

Her nails dug into the hard muscle of his back and in her desperate bid to hold onto him, she dragged it across his skin, scratching him. It pulled a guttural growl out of him, and he grazed his teeth across her collarbone, sending a shiver down her spine.

Siya gasped and he pinned her hips in place, thrusting harder at a frantic pace, hitting that sweet spot inside her.

‘Come for me, jaan. I’ve got you. Let go for me,’ he whispered, pushing his hand between them and rubbing her throbbing clit.

Her toes dug into the soft mattress beneath them as a shockwave of pleasure overcame her. She cried out his name as her release burst out of her with a blinding force.

She clenched hard around him, and with a tortured sound, he followed her into oblivion.

He collapsed on top of her, trapping her beneath his massive body, but she wrapped her arms around him as she tried to catch her breath. A faint sheen of sweat shone on his back and he nuzzled his nose in her hair, inhaling deeply.

He shifted to rub her nose with his as he said, ‘It’s a very weird thing to be thinking about right now, but I think we should soundproof our room back at the penthouse. I don’t want to traumatise our friends and family.’

She gave a raspy chuckle, her heart still beating wildly. ‘We certainly traumatised the hotel staff with our raunchy sounds.’

He leaned back just enough to let his breath ghost over her lips. ‘Trust me when I say this, it’s been my pleasure,’ he winked, making her laugh.

With a grunt, he pushed himself up onto his elbow and slowly pulled out of her. A faint soreness tingled between her legs, reminding her of where he’d been, and how he’d claimed her.

He rolled her with him onto their sides and pulled her into his arms. She rested her head on his chest, sighing in bliss as he gently stroked his fingers through her curls.

‘Are you okay? Did I hurt you?’ he asked, worried.

She shook her head in response.

‘I just… it feels like I’ve been starving for you for so long that I just lost myself in the moment. Next time, I’ll be more gentle,’ he promised, sealing it with a soft kiss on her temple.

She tilted her head to meet his eyes. ‘I don’t want you to hold back, Abhay.’

He held her gaze, searching for assurance that this was real, and she leaned closer to kiss his lips. ‘I mean it,’ she whispered, and his arm tightened around her.

‘Go ahead, continue to tempt me. I’ll take any excuse for round two,’ he whispered, a spark of heat glowing in his eyes.

Siya backed off with a laugh. ‘Tomorrow, I’m too tired to go again.’

She nestled in the crook of his shoulder, and he tangled his fingers with hers, holding it against his heart.

‘It’s a date,’ he whispered against her hair.

A thread of hope weaved itself around her bruised heart, and holding onto the strength of his promise, Siya drifted off to sleep.
