When I finished, I walked to the sinks and washed my hands in one as the restroom door swung open. I glanced up into the mirror and saw a middle-aged woman walk into the bathroom and head to the sinks. She turned on the water and smiled at me.
“You’re a beautiful girl.”
“Thank you,” I replied, smiling at her in the mirror.
“Too beautiful to be so sad.”
I frowned as I pulled my hands from underneath the water, causing it to shut off automatically. “I’m fine.”
“You don’t look like it. But I promise that I can make it better.”
I froze as I held my hands underneath the paper towel dispenser. “Uhm, . . . I’m sorry. I don’t get down like that.”
“Excuse me?”
“I said, I don’t get down like that. I like dicks, and I like them big, long, and hard with a thug attached to the other end.”
She briefly looked shocked before she chuckled and shook her head. “No, sweetheart. I’m not coming at you like that. I know that I’m older than you ladies are, but I have pulled astallion a time or two myself. I don’t get down like that either, as you say.”
I stared in confusion at her as she dried her hands. “Then what are you talking about?”
“I just have an invitation, that’s all.”
“Invitation to what?” She was blowing the fuck out of my high. I only smoked once a month, as it was, although I drank more often. We’d been smoking and drinking all night long, and I was no longer feeling the effects. She dried her hands, tossed the paper towel, and then reached into her blazer pocket and pulled out a small fuchsia envelope and handed it to me. There was a black and hot pink mask embossed in the middle of the envelope.
“What’s this?” I asked, staring at it for several seconds.
“Open it. I promise that it won’t bite.”
I reached inside my purse, removed a nail file, and slid it underneath the envelope. Inside, there was a little card created from linen paper. I read it.

“Is this serious?”I asked, looking up at the woman.
She nodded with a determined expression. “I don’t play around. I promise you that this is what you need. You don’thave to commit to anything. Simply go online, log in using the admission code, and check us out. If you’re interested, then you can visit the ball. If not, forget you ever met me.”
“How do I know that it’s safe for me to do this? You’re talking about coming to someplace I have no idea about, and for all I know, you all might abduct me.”
She laughed, and her eyes sparkled. “Sweetheart, research us. We’re actually a charity that does a lot of work in the community.”
“Then why can’t I bring anyone?”
“This ball is a very special ball where only select guests can participate. You can only get an invitation by being invited by a member. It’s not open to everyone.”
“So this is some sort of exclusive society or something?”
