“Butyoubelieve in family values. As do I.”

Colt nods seriously.

“Yes, and we’re jumping the gun a little, Kiki, but we want a baby with you. Multiple babies, if you’ll have it. But again, our particular family set-up doesn’t jibe with what the Madewells believe is “godly” and “just,” and as a result, we’re no longer receiving invitations to family events.”

I pause to let this information sink in, even as my heart breaks.

“Are you hearing from any of them? Maybe Susan? Or Ted?”

The twins share another look.

“No,” Cason states. “But we don’t miss those fuckers.”

“No, we do,” Colt amends with a flare of his blue eyes. “But it’s not worth beating ourselves up about it because we’re not going to change. We’ve been sharing women for twenty years now, honey, and it’s what we like. It’s what we prefer, and now that we’ve found you, we’re evenmoredetermined to see it through. You are the future mother of our kids, honey, and we’renot going to back down just because our family disapproves of threesomes.”

“Do they hate me?” I ask in a trembling voice, tears wobbling on my lashes.

Both men shake their heads immediately, blue eyes sharp.

“Of course not,” Cason growls. “They appreciate you as an individual. You’re beautiful, intelligent, and with a womanly way about you that screams motherhood and femininity. What is there to hate? But the Madewells hate that we’re a threesome, and that’s where the buck stops.”

“Haters gonna hate,” Colt adds with a disgusted expression on his face. “We’re not going to listen to their fuckery just because.”

With that, I begin to cry. Tears flow down my cheeks as my breasts heave.

“I’m so sorry this happened,” I wail in a muffled cry as Colt pulls me against his broad chest. “I know how close you are to your family and I’m the reason they’ve been ostracizing you.”

“Shhh,” Cason growls while sitting on my other side and stroking my back. “Again, it’s not you, baby. It’s them. They’re the fuckwads and we’re not going to tolerate their rigid belief system. Love is love, in any form, and it’s not like we’re pornographers or something. We’re consenting adults, and we love you. We adore you, Kiki Thornton, and we’re not going to let this get between us.”

“So you’ll never talk to the your relatives again?” I cry, even as my heart lightens. “And do you really love me?”

The twins nod.

“We do really love you, sweetheart, and fuck, if we never talk to those fuckers again, then so be it,” Colt rasps before dropping a kiss on my upturned mouth.

“They deserve it,” Cason rasps before drawing me into his arms and seizing my mouth in a hungry kiss as well. “We’ve been paying for their children’s education, so we’ll see how long the cold shoulder lasts.”

I pull away for a moment.

“You have?”

The twins’ blue eyes gleam.

“We have. We’re rich motherfuckers, so paying for our nieces’ and nephews’ education isn’t a big deal. It’s just a few dollars to us. So yeah, we’ll see where the Madewells go next because my understanding is that tuition is coming due, and they don’t have the money for it. Let’s see what happens,” he winks.

I smile blearily.

“Hopefully, there will be a reunion of some sort,” I say in a slow tone. “I don’t want you to be estranged from your family forever.”

The twins shake their heads.

“We don’t think it’ll be forever, but yeah, the money will likely be a factor in forcing them to their knees. But that’s their choice,” Colt adds in a silky tone. “Poverty or acceptance.”

“It’ll play out in its own time,” Cason adds before leaning in for another kiss. “Meanwhile, you mean the world to us, Kiki, and we were serious about making you a mommy. Will you, babygirl? Will you have our babies? We’re ready to get you pregnant … oh, about now.”

I smile then, even as tears continue to stream down my cheeks.

“I’d love to have your children,” I breathe to the twins while pulling them close. “I’d love to grow big with our kids because I love you too. I’m so happy you bucked your family for me, and I think there will be a way to work it out somehow.”
