Finished.

Until I rolled over to see Jillian watching me with that look in her eyes. That smile on her face was enough for my cock to spring right back to attention again. “I need a breather.” I chuckled as she started to straddle my waist. “We’ve been at it for hours,” I reminded Jillian, although her nipples looked super inviting.

Jillian placed her small hands against my cheeks. “We’re making up for lost time, baby.” She slid her lips over mine as a ripple of pain ran across her face.

“What’s wrong? Are you okay?”

“I’m a little sore.”

I gripped her hips. “Where?” I tried to move her from my body, but she shook her head.

“You did warn me that I wouldn’t be able to walk today, didn’t you?” She smirked.

“Are you serious right now?” I had only been kidding.

Jillian swatted my chest. “Dead serious. We haven’t stopped unless you count peeing and getting something to drink.” She let out a sigh of happiness. “Maybe we should take a little break. Have something to eat and get a little rest. When do you need to be home?” She slipped from my body only to snuggle next to me on the bed.

“I told my parents I would be home this afternoon.” Jillian’s fingers traced the contours of my chest lightly. “Want to come over? Visit with Hazel?” I eased myself onto my side. “Tell everyone the good news?” I gripped her left hand to look at the ring on her finger, admiring how perfect it looked.

Jillian swallowed nervously. “Do you...really think that’s a good idea? I mean, you’re still technically married to Madison, and—”

I cut her off by crushing our lips together. “Confession, baby.” I wasn’t sure when I started calling her that, but Jillian seemed to like it. “I’ve had that ring for a long time,” I whispered as she stared up with me with her big, green eyes.

“How long?” Her voice came out soft and breathy.

I glanced up at the ceiling, noticing for the first time the skylight above her bed because I had been buried between her legs. “I was going to ask you before you left for New York,” I admitted. “You picked this place because of that, huh?” I jutted my chin upward.

“Don’t change the subject, Hutch.” Jillian gripped my chin between her index and middle finger. “When were you planning on giving this to me? Before I left for New York?” When I nodded, her face crumpled and tears filled her eyes.

I rolled over. “Don’t do that.” I shook my head. “Hey, Jilly, don’t cry. I didn’t tell you the truth to avoid upsetting you.” I brushed the tears from her face. “I knew that it was a crazy idea back then because we were both in such weird places, myself being super fucked up, but I often wondered what would have happened if I had. I wasn’t sure if I even had the balls to ask you.” Again, Jillian’s eyes grew watery. “Why are you so upset?” I whispered, gathering her into my arms.

“All the time we lost.” Jillian leaned her head against my chest. “Because of me being so selfish and afraid of what would happen if I said goodbye to you instead of growing a pair.” She sniffed.

“Baby...” Her eyes turned up to mine.

“We can’t change the past, only work on the present.” I whispered.

Jillian’s lips twitched. “You’re perfect, you know that?” She pressed her lips against my pec, and my dick thumped against her side. “Oh, did you like that?”

“Jills, we were taking a break.”

“Were we?”

I gripped her arms before she could mount me again. “Yes, we were, and I need to give it a rest. I don’t think I have anything left in me. Remember, I’m older than you,” I teased as Jillian’s plump lips turned up into a full-fledge smile. “Come with me this afternoon,” I pleaded.

“Alright,” she agreed with a blinding smile. “Did you just call yourselfold, Hutch Kelly?” Laughter hung in her voice, and I’d be lying if I said I didn’t like it.

“I said I wasolder. There’s a difference.”

Jillian giggled. “I like it when you call me baby,” she admitted sheepishly. “But not as much as when you call me Jilly.” Her hand slipped between my legs to wrap around my now incredibly hard-to-miss erection.

So much for taking a break.

I groaned as Jillian stroked my length, then she stopped to look up at me, adoration shining on her face. “I love you, Hutch.”

I took in Jillian’s flushed cheeks, her messy dark hair, and realized that after all this time, she was stillitfor me. From the moment I had saved her on the beach all those years ago, Jillian had been the one I wanted for the rest of my life. We might have taken different turns, gone on different paths, but they both had led us right back to where we belonged. With each other. I reached down to cup her face with both hands. “I love you too, Jilly,” I declared before taking her mouth with mine.
