“Slainte!” I say, raising my glass, “to us.”

She reads my lips and repeats the word as we drink. The flight would only be a few minutes if we went straight there, so I've told the pilot to take a scenic route. Watching her ooh and ahh at the sunset over the desert landscape is so cute. I wish I could have her sit on my knee, instead of across from me. As we fly closer to town, she is peering around curiously, eyes wide and shiny.

But as we start lowering down to our destination, she turns to me with a look which I can only interpret as…horror?

As soon as we land, she pulls off her headphones.

“Where is this?

“Bend amphitheater—it’s a venue for shows. We’ve played here a couple of times.”

“We are here to see some music?” The light in the 'copter is weird, but she looks pale. I lean over and unbuckle her, then put out my hand. She reluctantly gets up and I help her down to the helipad surface.

I’m not understanding her sudden awkwardness. She was fine on the flight, but now she looks like she wants to crawl up in a cave.

I guess I had told Harmony we’d have a low-key date. So yeah, I admit this is not particularly low-key. Still I don’t get why it is freaking her out.

She steps into my outstretched arms and presses herself tight against me.

Is she trembling?

“What is it, babe?”

With her head pressed against my shirt, I can barely hear her. “I’m not big on crowds.”

OK, that makes sense.

“We are not going to be out in the crowd,” I try to reassure her. “We’ll be backstage. The only people back here will be the crew; techs, roadies, venue staff—they’ll leave us alone.”

She doesn’t look at all convinced, but I know she’ll have a good time if she trusts me. I give that sweet body another hug, then take her hand.

“Follow me.”

We walk along the maze of fencing and trailers that make up the backstage area. Security guards are everywhere but they let us through without a murmur.

I know where the ‘talent’ will be, so head straight to the largest trailer. Harmony is walking beside me, head down. Her hair has fallen all around her face and I’m surprised she can even see where she is going.

“OK, babe. Come and meet someone who is extremely important to me.”

I lift her little pointed chin up with a finger. Those eyes are huge. I don’t get why, but the protective urge that overwhelms me is intense. What has made this girl so frightened to be out in public? I know I’m a bit stupid, but even I can see when something is wrong.

Fuck.

She lives in an isolated cabin in nowhere Oregon. Is she afraid of crowds, or is she hiding?

Either way, being backstage will be safe.

“It’s OK baby, I’ll look after you,” I tell her. “No one is going to bother you here.” I bring my lips down on her trembling ones. Just a gentle meeting of lips, but instantly my cock springs to life.

Turning back to the trailer, holding tightly to her little hand, I knock.

HARMONY

It will all be alright.

Itwillall be alright.

If I say it enough times, maybe I’ll actually believe it. The odds of anyone knowing me here are not too high. And I’ve changed my appearance. No more skinny girl with a pixie cut. Now I have hair to hide behind. And a butt and boobs that were never there before.
