“I have that.” I reached for his face, for nothing was as radiant as having him above me.
Freyr lunged to kiss me, and finally, I felt his tip meet my ready hole.
Still, he did not enter me.
“Look.” Freyr shifted slightly, so I could see through Gull that we were on such a high branch of Yggdrasil, I could see glimpses of each of the realms, as if we had reached the very top of the universe.
It was amazing.
Then Gull’s hatch opened, revealing the grinning face of the trickster god hanging upside-down from atop the beast’s back.
“Hello!”
Chapter 9
FREYR
“Loki!”IpromptlycoveredRavnur and I with the nearest blanket. “For Odin’s sake!”
“Pretty certain this isn’t forOdin’ssake, but it was a lovely view!” Loki winked.
“Oh gods.” Ravnur tried burying his face in my chest, and I held him protectively close.
“Not to worry, pretty raven,” Loki said. “You should feel honored to have me grace you with my presence. We’re to be brethren now, after all. Isn’t that right? Or is thatswordin your possession because you’re just that happy to see me.”
“Loki,” I warned. And besides, thatsword was back on the ship, so I knew full well which sword he meant. While he remained there, grinning at us, I called upon the power of the sun, set though it may be, and heated the metal beneath Loki’s hands as hot as several hours in summer swelter until he hissed and had to let go.
“Spoilsport! No need to get allhotand bothered.” Loki flipped down from his upturned position to peer in at us while standing on the ground. “This is a matter of utmost importance, I assure you! Completely unprecedented! Life altering!”
That caught my attention enough to feel mildly less furious with him. “Well then? Out with it!”
All of Loki’s guile vanished like when a veil was lifted from the face of a bride. “I’m sorry.”
I knew instantly he didn’t mean forthisintrusion.
“Truly, Freyr, for the role I played in our undoing, in our end and unknown new beginnings, I am sorry. Please accept my apology that we might continue to be brethren in the coming age.”
I waited for the catch, the joke, a change in his expression, but none came. He meant this from the bottom of his mischievous heart. “Of course I forgive you, Loki, for while this new beginning has been full of unknowns, I am excited to see where it leads.” I glanced at Ravnur in my arms, for I had no doubts now that this was a beginning I would not regret starting.
“Good for you! I really am sorry, brother. Not for the view though!” Loki lifted the blanket to look beneath it, and I promptly kicked his hand away, reached out to grab the hatch, and shut it in his face. “’Til next time!” he called. “Fair thee well!”
Since we could still see out, we knew when Loki was actually gone, and I couldn’t help but laugh. So did Ravnur, snuggled as he was against my chest.
I pulled the blanket from us to once again take in the view intended only for me from now on.
“Not too upset by that interruption?” I asked, though the bob of Ravnur’s prick was answer enough.
“No,” he said amid the trailing of his chuckles. “I hold no ill will toward Loki, for without his intervention, I might not be here with you now.”
“Too true. Then might I stillbe with you, little raven?” I reached down to check his waiting entrance.
Ravnur bucked against the caress of my fingers. “Oh, yes, Fricco. Please.”
I took hold of Ravnur’s hand, just as he had when entering me, and breached him slowly, letting him adjust with each new portion swallowed. The drop of his jaw as he exhaled a whine never twisted into pain or pleading, but grew more blissful until a tear streaked down his cheek upon my completed seating.
“Oh…yesss,” he moaned and started rocking upon my cock before I’d started to move myself. He had said to not shy from taking him roughly, and so I sped up quickly, and he relished in it just as shamelessly. “Yes!Yes!”
I held back nothing. I didn’t need to hold back any part of me ever again, for here, finally, was someone I could give myself to, all of me, from this moment locked in passion to ages from now with every bare beat of my mending heart.
