“You mean kill people?”
Bianca hums her response.
“I don’t run around skinning people because of a high, or anything. There’s a reason. When I kill, they’ve done something to piss me off.”
She turns back to me.
“So they’re enemies? They’ve done terrible things?”
I shrug my shoulders before speeding up, and say, “It depends on your definition of terrible. I killed a nurse for throwing my pudding away. Some people would say that was not an appropriate reaction.”
She raises an eyebrow before laughing.
“It’s the only good thing in Wellard Asylum, so I get it. Although, I’ll never eat pudding again. It turns my stomach now.”
A black SUV passes me. Jesus, he must be going at least one hundred twenty miles an hour. Asshole. I slow down when I spot him doing a U-turn in the middle of the highway. Then he’s coming toward us at the same speed. I swerve to avoid him, butdon’t have much of a chance. The impact causes me to hit my head on the steering wheel, and everything goes black.
“Holy shit. He looks like a banged up Reaper.”
I force my eyes open and glance to the passenger seat.
It’s empty.
“Where’s Bianca?” I croak out.
I turn to my door and spot two men staring at me. I know who they are from the pictures, even though I’ve never met them.
Kage and Psycho Bonetti.
Psycho leans in with a knife, and cuts my seatbelt from my shoulder, followed by my lap.
“Where the fuck is she?” I growl, as they yank me out of the car.
Turning me so I’m facing the nearly destroyed car, Psycho places a knife against my throat.
“We’ll be asking the questions. Kage, zip tie his wrists.”
The panic begins.
One hundred. Bianca. Ninety-Nine. Bianca. Ninety-Eight.
“Don’t. I can’t fucking handle restraints. I’m not fighting you. I just want to know what you did with Bianca. I swear to God if you hurt her, I’ll rip the skin from your bones.”
“Who the fuck is Bianca?” One of them says as I’m spun around, knocking me nearly to the ground. The dizziness is intense, likely from hitting my head.
I’m thrown into the back of a black SUV, and I’m having a hard time getting my thoughts straight. Everything is a chaoticmess. They hit me, I passed out, and when I woke up, Bianca was gone.
The car takes off, with Psycho and Kage beside me. Psycho spins his knife in his hands like he’s threatening me, but I don’t give a fuck about him or myself.
“Where is Bianca?”
Kage doesn’t say anything, but Psycho leans his face less than an inch from mine, and growls through clenched teeth.
“We don’t know who the fuck Bianca is, so shut up.”
My head is fucking pounding, and the harder I try to think about what happened, the worse it gets. The dizziness intensifies. I close my eyes, to stop the world from spinning, and again everything goes black.
Iwake up tied to a goddamn chair, and I’m instantly pissed. I fucking told them not to restrain me, and that I wasn’t fighting them. It’s not a surprise that this day came. After all, I killed the one fucker that knew who I was and, I guess, the lawyer story was true.
