“I like spoiling you,” he murmurs, pulling me back for another slow kiss.
I shake my head, playful.“Alright,” I whisper, trying to regain my composure.
He’s panting slightly, eyes darkening.“I either take you outside for lunch, or I’ll end up taking you right here in your office.”
I swallow, my pulse quickening.“Lunch,” I whisper.
He groans, running a hand lightly over my neck, down my shoulder, over my back, stopping at the edge of my jeans.“Can’t I have you for lunch?”
I laugh, ducking under his arm, and dash outside. He follows, smirking devilishly as he adjusts his uniform. I can’t help but giggle.
Outside, on a park bench, the sun warming our faces, Cas slides his arm around me. The small town hum around us. Every greeting, every smile from people passing by, fills me with a sense of belonging I never imagined I’d have.
“You’ve stolen the whole town’s heart, it seems,” he jokes, handing me a soda.
I press my mouth to his ear.“The only heart I want is yours.”
He turns, lips brushing mine in a searing kiss.“It was yours the minute your whiskey eyes looked up at me in front of your broken-down Honda.” His gaze makes me shiver.
“I love you, Cowboy,” I whisper.
“Love you too, Sunset. More than you’ll ever know.” He caresses my cheek, then pulls out our sandwiches.
After lunch, hand in hand, we stroll back to my studio. Norman, the hardware store owner, waves at us.“Penny! Saw your pictures…won big prizes! You’re making our town proud, little lady.”
hug him, Cas grinning beside me.“You trying to steal my woman, Norman?” he teases.
Norman laughs, shaking his head.“If I were fifty years younger, this girl would already have my last name.”
Cas’s eyes flick to mine.“What?”
“Nothing, Sunset,” his grin widens as we enter my studio.
I take off my coat, and he locks the door behind us. My breath catches at the intensity of his gaze.“I don’t want to go just yet,” he murmurs, low and warm, making my stomach flutter.
“Oh,” I smile, moving toward him. The air between us feels charged, electric as he pulls me into him.“I hate it when you’re not near me.”
“I hate it too,” I confess. His hands travel to my neck, tilting my face up to his. Our lips meet, soft at first, then more urgent. His mouth moves against mine, hands exploring gently, teasing, playful, and intoxicating.
He kisses down my neck. "I had you yesterday evening, had you again this morning in the shower," his mouth moves to my ear. "And I still can't get enough of you," he growls, making my blood turn to molten heat.
"Cas," I moan. I pull his head up and kiss him. "I need you inside of me," I tell him as I pull him into my office and close the door.
"Look at you," Cas stares at me as I lean against the door, my breath coming out fast. "Your hair a wildfire, your cheeks flushed, and these damn whiskey eyes that make me forget my own name."
Cas comes to me and pulls me against him. "Perfect," he whispers before he captures my mouth with his, his tongue caressing mine as he lifts me up, my legs encircling him, my hands tangled in his hair as I moan into his mouth. His stetson long gone.
"Sunset," he whispers against my lips. "Wanna ride a cowboy?"
He smiles against my lips and I grin back. "Yeehaw," I say as he turns me and sets me on my desk, his eyes molten on me as he slowly removes my pants. He unbuttons his shirt, revealing his muscled torso. My mouth waters as I trail my hands over his abs.
"I need to be inside you, baby," he opens his pants.
And then… everything else fades away. My body and his collide, and the world outside ceases to exist.
Afterwards, I hope Norman next door didn’t hear a thing…
