Now there’s something to behold

And it’s not just humble brew
Serena emerged from the back as Joe leapt up on the chair and was dancing on it very Fosse-esque (perhaps it was the only styleanyone knew- or maybe just the one style worth mentioning). The espresso’s steam wand seemed to be malfunctioning adding a smoky ambiance to the entire cafe.
“What’s going on?” She asked.
“I think he’s serenading me?” Jacob asked.
The lights shifted and turned back on. The other patrons who were all sitting by themselves only a moment before were now decked out in bedazzled outfits. All of them matched and each of them was more extravagant than the last.
Joe spun towards Jacob grabbing him by the hand and sitting him down in a chair, pulling him away from Serena who was seemingly bursting with giddiness.

How on earth can I express-o I’ve had sweet and I’ve had bitter, I’ve had coffee by the litre,
Serena cheered them on as Jacob turned a shade of red so vibrant he was almost glowing. Even Teddy seemed to be getting into it and was playing mugs like drums.
The music picked up to something more boisterous as the patrons began to tap dance with such fervor they looked almost demented.

The music slowed down and became more serious as the patrons knelt on their knees. Serena swooned from behind the counter. Jacob wasn’t sure what reality was right now, but he was here for whatever this was.
