CHAPTERSIXTY-THREE
Starlight, star bright...
I received news that’s extraordinary. I hope to be able to share it with all of you soon.
I just need some time.
Now, I have it.

One enormous emotionswarms through every part of my brain as the elevator rises rapidly.
Wonderment.
It’s an emotion I’m used to feeling around Arek.
From the moment we met on the plane, to our first kiss, to the first time we touched, he’s consumed me. Maybe that’s why Arek could bring me to my knees so quickly, so swiftly, with his betrayal because no one else ever brought me so high.
Then again, no one has ever loved me the way he does either.
He gave up everything for more time with me.Why am I so valuable to him?
I fly out of the elevator, running for the door when it flings open.
And there he stands.
Waiting for me.
He holds up his hand warily. “Before you say anything, I—”
I don’t give him a chance to finish. I hurl myself at him until my body slams into his before wrapping my arms around his neck.
Arek stumbles back one, two steps before getting his footing as he bears the brunt of our weight. A breath expels from his body when he realizes I’m just holding onto him.
My head snaps up from where it’s buried in his neck when I recognize what he needs to know. “Without value.”
His pupils dilate before expanding to leave only a thin ring of jade. He hauls me over the threshold before kicking the door shut behind us.
Dragging a hand wrapped around his neck down his chest until it rests on his heart, he asks, “My Moore?”
I nod frantically. “Always.”
His mouth slams down onto mine, and I meet it with the full force of my own. This is my husband, the other half of my heart.
He’s my more. My forever.
Excitement spears through me even as Arek rips his mouth from mine. He grabs my hand and pulls me toward the master suite. Along the way, he stops to press kisses against my palm, my neck, my forehead—worshiping me without words.
Meanwhile, I kick off my heels one at a time as well as single-handedly unbutton my suit jacket to expose black lace.
Arek can’t hide his reaction. Still clad in the sweatpants he was wearing before I left, his erection twitches.
I reach down to rub my fingers over him, but he catches my wrist to stay my movements. He growls, “Not unless you want this to end before it has a chance to start, my Moore.”
The rough feel of his fingers, so innocently resting against my skin, causes my blood to pump faster. I shrug my shoulders so the jacket slides down my arms and hits the floor in a puddle. With a quick swish, I rip my camisole from my body, leaving me bare from the waist up, having not bothered with the discomfort of a bra this morning.
He reaches behind him and whips off his shirt before tugging me forward so our bodies touch skin-to-skin.
