“T–ten” I whisper, not understanding my own words coming out of my mouth.

“What’s that?” He groans above me, his cock pushes against me once more.

I breathe out, trying to convince myself that I lost my mind yesterday and that this is all a dream.

“Ten.” I whimper and he slides over me. He’s so hard I can feel the large outline of his cock against my center.

I clench my thighs tighter together as my orgasm tears through me. My eyes flutter and the arm I was using to hold myself up goes limp. He wraps his arm around my waist and lets my other arm fall back to my side. He lifts me to stand and his pale grey eyes meet my own in an intense stare.

“That's just a taste of what I can give you, Little Devil, imagine us without clothes on.” That's all he says before he walks over to the table and grabs an old broken knife. I’m at a loss for words. My legs wobble underneath me and it’s hard for me to catch my breath.

“I found the item.”

Am I really losing my mind?

“Ok…uh, I’m sorry about last night.” I don’t even know what to say.

Last night was rough for me. My emotions were all over the place and I really took it out on him. It’s not his fault I’m here. I chose to participate in this game of hell. As for my apology I don’t expect him to accept it, I know I wouldn’t. I acted rash and temperamental.

“No big deal. I know a panic attack when I see one.” He throws the old knife back on the table and it lands with a resonating thud.

I walk over to the small window and look out. It's very cloudy, I can barely see the sun peeking through them. How long did we sleep for?

I look up and the time on the clock reads 63:27, we slept for six hours and were awake for three of them arguing.

Great.

“How do we move to the next clue? Do we just match the item with the clue and leave them on the table? When we’re finished then what?” I ask and pick up a small bear off a desk.

I examine its plush fur and notice a small red zipper across the bottom.

“Last year it was very different but same as last year we did leave the clues along with the items on the table. You finish one clue and move on to the next, they’re all hidden somewhere in this room. When you're finished they come in to check if your findings are correct. I believe there are cameras in here.” He nods more like he's talking to himself but continues. “If your items are correct they unlock this other door and you find your way out through a maze.”

I unzip the bear and a note falls out.

“Well here's our next clue.” I bend over and pick it up. “This is number two so we still have four left.”

“Of course.” His voice drips with sarcasm and a bright smile graces his lips.

“I’m just saying.” I roll my eyes and open the note.

“For Ronan.” I huff but continue reading. “What poison consumes your veins and reveals the fractures you’ve concealed. Don’t sway away, be honest. Your partner deserves to know what keeps the madness at bay.”

I look over at him and he doesn’t sway, he smirks. It's mischievous but there's a dark undertone to it.

“How do they know about our fucked up lives? This is so crazy to me, like really how do they know we’d be in this exact room together? It makes no sense.” I ramble on and he just listens. His eyes never leave mine.

“Where do we go to the bathroom? My breath reeks.” He points towards an open door beside the bed. “Huh, how did I not notice that?”

Probably because you were being a major freak yesterday, Ember.

I walk over to the bathroom and freshen up. Surprisingly there's soap, a small shower, toothbrushes and toothpaste, lots of toilet paper and even female feminine products. It's small and cramped but better than most convenience store restrooms. I come out a lot cleaner but still forced to wear this tight ass devil costume.

Ronan goes inside after I come out. I plop down on the bed and my stomach rumbles loudly.

Is there food, water, anything around here?

I actually look around the room. Casting each element, object, desk, and chair into memory when I notice a mini fridge.
