I glanced at Highland who was now back talking to Troy about the yacht. I blew him a kiss with just my lips. I loved that he matched my energy as he caught it and put it on his mouth before sending one back.

“Ugh, not y’all being cute and shit. And y’all are subjecting my little pirates to this type of mushy behavior? I came at the perfect time to save them. Yo ho ho, pirates!” Tunk’s voice sounded out in the room, causing the kids to go crazy, shouting back the pirate saying. Of course, Highland got up to greet him, dapping him up while the kids clung to his legs.

“Easy on my love with their momma. They’re getting the best sample of the real shit,” Highland said, tossing me a wink with a sly grin on his face, sending heat to my cheeks.

With the rest of the crew now preoccupied, Byrdie shot me a look as she got up from the table and headed into the other room. My nosy ass got up quickly as I looked around to make sure no one was paying attention.

I made it to the living room where Byrdie was.

“What’s up?” I whispered like we were truly trying to keep secrets and move in silence.

“Girl, why are you whispering? We in your shit,” she whispered back, making me laugh.

“The way you silently got up, I thought you had some top-secret shit to tell me, that’s why. And it’s not mine. This is Highland’s house.” She waved me off.

“Anyways, it was our great breakaway. Those girls don’t be wanting you to leave their side. It’s different with our boys, theydon’t care if their daddy is around. So while they’re all busy, we can get ready to head out. Put on something sexy. Show some thigh meat.” I smirked while I shook my head because it was true. The girls’ attachment to me only seemed to grow each day that I was around.

“Not show my thigh meat, but okay.”

“Okay, meet me at my Airbnb in an hour… hour and a half tops. I want a good spot at the bar.”

“I’ll be there; just make sure you’re ready. The iDrive won’t wait forever.” She kissed her teeth as she turned to head out with me going upstairs.

Highland

“And y’all sure you got the kids?” I asked Tunk as I packed the bag I was taking for Olive and me for our date tonight that I planned. He and Kelvin were babysitting overnight and I wanted to make sure with Jo-Jo now added to the mix of kids I had that they were prepared.

“Lando, you act like we don’t do this every other day already,” Tunk said as he got the s’mores board ready for them. Yeah, Troy and Byrdie would also be here, but I half ass expected them to slip away to do their own thing. I had incorporated the help of Byrdie to throw Olive off my plans tonight.

“Yeah, but that was with just the girls. Remember Jo-Jo is here now, plus Darius is staying the night too.”

“Fool, we know. You act like we new here or some shit. Get out, damn. Ain’t yo ol’ lady waiting for you?” I shot him a glare as I stuffed the thermal blanket into another bag. I glanced at my watch and noticed my hour was up and knew Olive would be making her way downstairs any moment now. I worked with the allotted time that Byrdie told me I had.

“Ooh shit, yeah. I gotta get these in the car.” I put some hustle in my steps now as I grabbed both bags and headed to the car where all the other items were loaded up in the trunk already.

By the time I made it back inside, Olive was walking down the steps, stopping me in a trance at the bottom. She was fucking gorgeous in her white dress with a split up her thigh showing off a gold chain I wasn’t familiar with. It wrapped around her neck, but the amount of side boob told me her back was bare. I licked my lips at the thought of it being exposed for my pleasure.

“Gotdamn, baby, you look…wow. Fucking beautiful,” I said as I ran through every fantasy possible to fuck her out the dress. She blushed as I reached for her.

“Thank you, Highland, it’s not too much for The Tavern? I’ve only been once but that was a while ago. I wasn’t sure of the vibe anymore.” She walked over to the mirror in the foyer by the door, stopping, giving herself one more once over as she put in her earrings.

“I don’t know about The Tavern, but with what I have planned for you, it’s perfect especially since by the end of the night you won’t have it on anyway,” I said as I stepped behind her, grabbing her wrist, kissing it gently before I put on the bracelet to finish her look.

Olive snorted, not paying me too much attention until she caught my words. She turned to look at me, giving me her face with her brows dipped and her mouth curved in as it hung slightly open.

“What, huh?” She laughed humorously as she tapped me on my chest. “Baby, I told you I was going out with Byrdie tonight. It’s our last weekend here and we told the kids we would have one big sleepover tomorrow night. We haven’t had our moment.”

I pulled her away from the mirror toward the door as I smirked.

“Olive, I told you ain’t nobody thinking about them kids. Anything I plan revolves around you and making sure you have a great vacation. Them kids gon’ live their best lives, trust me, you’re still handling that for them. This weekend you’re mine…all fucking mine. Don’t worry though, I promise, you and Byrdie will have y’all’s girls night just not tonight, baby.” I led her to the passenger side of the car, assisting her inside before I rounded it to get in.

I expected some type of response but all I got was Olive leaning over the middle console, opening the door for me with a timid smile in place. Once I was in, she grabbed my hand, putting it on her exposed thigh.

“Aye, aye, Captain.” That had me cracking up as I started the car and headed to our destination.
