“Shhh.” Diego paused as he took a deep breath. “Oh God, Brody, you feel so good.” Diego pulled out all the way and slid back inside, so deep Brody gasped again. So fucking tight, so full, stretched and opened and exposed. His hands clawed at the sheets as Diego found that rhythm, his hands holding Brody's ass in place as he fucked him, hard and deep.

Then Diego was gone. Brody protested, then Diego rolled him over onto his back. He lifted one of Brody's legs over his shoulder and leaned in, priming himself before slamming his entire length into Brody with one deep stroke.

Fuck. Every nerve ending burst into flames as Brody felt Diego sink even deeper inside of him than ever before. His hand reached up to grasp onto Diego's shoulder tightly, unable to let go and only intensifying when he saw the deep furrow on Diego's forehead as he pumped harder and faster against him. With each thrust came a new wave of pleasure until finally with one last shudder Diego released himself inside of Brody's body.

Beautiful,Brody thought, as his fingers traced a bead of sweat from Diego's shoulder down his left bicep. My beautiful man.

They collapsed on the bed and caught their breath after Diego pulled out and disposed of his condom. “Fuck, that was good.” Diego rested his head against Brody’s chest. “You okay?” he asked and shifted his body to lie on his side, facing Brody. “Need anything?”

“Just a couple more of them kisses.” Brody face flushed pink as he glanced down at his half-hard cock. “Look what you did to me, Diego. You fixed me.”

“Maybe we’re fixing each other.” Diego leaned in and offered those kisses, his fingertips stroking Brody’s sweaty temple. “Should I head back to my room?” he asked, resting his chin on Brody’s chest, his eyes filled with this amazing light.

“Please don’t.” Brody’s fingers curled around Diego’s arm. “Peach’ll let me know if she hears the boys stirring. We’re always up before they are—and I don’t want you to leave my bed. Not tonight.” Not ever, Brody thought to himself, knowing it was too soon to utter those words aloud.

“Okay.” Diego curled up against him. Peach waited another few minutes, as if making sure they were done, then jumped on and found a space on Brody’s other side.

He fell asleep happier than he’d been in years.

Chapter Eighteen

Brodyhadbeencorrect.

Peach stirred at a quarter past six in the morning. She stretched, whining low, before padding over toward the closed door. Brody untangled himself from Diego with a long sigh. “I know, girl, it got crowded up there, didn’t it?” In the dim light creeping out from the bathroom, Diego saw Brody pull on a pair of sweatpants and a hoodie. “I’ll be right back,” he said and leaned down to kiss Diego’s forehead.

“I’ll be here.” But as soon as Brody left the room, Diego sat up and stretched, throwing his feet off the side of the bed. Last night had been incredible—the first of many nights together, he hoped. But the last thing Diego wanted was to get caught half-dressed in Brody’s bedroom by either of the boys.

Diego grabbed his toiletry bag from the guest room and tiptoed back into Brody’s bathroom. As sure as he was that Brody wouldn’t join him in the shower this morning—not with the chance of his nephews walking in on them—Diego imagined fucking Brody against the tile of his large shower, or kneeling in front of Brody, water splashing in his face as Brody throat-fucked him.

One day, he hoped.

Sure enough, after Diego toweled off and got dressed, he walked out into the living room and spotted the boys already awake, sitting next to each other and playing on a Nintendo Switch.

“Morning.” Diego nodded at Jonah and sat down on a recliner.

“Hi,” Jonah said, just as cheery as he’d been the night before. His eyes lifted from his game to greet Diego. “This is my little brother, Jace. He’s still kinda sick.”

The small child next to Jonah looked up at Diego with sleepy eyes. “Hi Jace. I’m Diego. Sorry you’re not feeling so good.” Diego looked around. “You guys know where your Uncle Brody is?”

“Probably in the barn.” Jonah set the game down on the sofa. “He takes the puppies outside during the day so they can play. He told me I can go later and play with them too, but we gotta eat breakfast first. What’s your favorite cereal?”

Diego chuckled. It was always one question after another with Jonah. “Cinnamon Toast Crunch.”

Jace looked up with a grin. Diego noticed he was missing a bottom tooth. “I like that one too.”

“It’s the best.” He stood and walked outside, glancing around to find Brody. It didn’t take long to spot him walking out of the barn with the retriever puppies, Peach trotting behind them. “Hey there.”

Brody grinned back at him. “Mornin’, handsome.” He wrapped an arm around Diego and tugged him close. “I’m glad you came this weekend.”

“Me too.” Diego glanced around at the land. He’d visited a few times in his youth, but never stayed for long. “It looks different without those greenhouses.”

Brody nodded. “Come look at the kennels.” He gave Diego a quick tour of the upgrades and additions he and Aaron were making. “We’ll have capacity for ten dogs in here later this summer. Over there’s where Audra grooms them and does any minor first aid. Those are the things she uses to train them—long leashes, reinforcers, small objects to teach them how to carry items gently back to their handlers.”

Diego shook his head. “It’s incredible what you can teach these dogs to do.”

“Not me.” Brody shook his head. “It’s all Audra, though I’m learning from watching her. Soon we might all need to be certified so we can work through our stable of dogs sooner.” He pointed at the puppies playing in the fenced-in yard. “One of them’s already been matched with a veteran, one who’s got some significant PTSD. The pups are young, still, but Audra’s already started working with him and little Petey, teaching the dog how to remind him to take his meds or settle him down during a panic attack.”

Diego’s eyes widened as he watched Peach chase the puppies. “That’s incredible.” He nodded at Peach. “Does she do that?”
