“What are you trying to say? Keep in mind, those are my sisters you’re talking about.”

I think about how busy Rahston has to be. I bet he gives Ryder’s sex drive a run for his money.

“I’m just saying the guy seems like he drops dick like an anchor.” I force myself not to smirk at Darrio’s disgusted look.

“That’s disturbing,” Dax says under his breath.

The bow of Darrio’s lip curls back as a line creases his brow. “What does that even mean?”

I bite my lip as laughter shakes through me.

“Stop thinking dirty thoughts about my brothers.” The woman with short cropped hair saunters back into the room.

I pull away from Daxdyn as my arms fold across my chest. If it weren’t for their hair and Bekka’s obvious pregnant belly, I wouldn’t be able to tell the three women apart.

This one, the one with the short hair, she hates me. I haven’t even been here for ten minutes and I can already tell.

I’m not used to being around big families, or people in general, so I was overwhelmed at first. But I’m not now, and I won’t let her walk all over me with her rude comments.

“As you’ve heard, I am a gift from the gods. Gifts from the gods do not have impure thoughts.” I raise my chin a little higher at her and keep the most serious of features locked in place.

Daxdyn shakes his head before shooting Darrio a mocking look.

“Yeah, I can literally see you fucking them in your head. Please stop, it’s repulsive. They’re still our little Dax and Dar.” A sarcastic smile perches on her lips.

“Fuck,” Darrio whispers as he pushes his hand through his messy hair.

“Don’t be embarrassed, little brother.” The other triplet, the one who doesn’t hate me, wanders back in and shoves at Darrio’s arm. She leans against the edge of the table at his side.Little Darshadows over his sister as she teases him. She stands only a little taller than myself and her amusement matches Daxdyn’s normally happy demeanor perfectly.

“I’m Kela. Don’t mind Nika’s terrible attitude.” She holds her hand out to me and we shake for only a few seconds. “You’re beautiful,” she says with a smile. Her demeanor is so different from Nika it makes me cautious of her. “I can see why they’d both choose you. All three of them.”

Her blunt words remind me of her empath brother and I wonder how alike they really are.

In an instant, I decide I like her.

I wish I had words to say to these women. Oddly, I do want their approval. I love their brothers and these three women are important. They’re important to Dax and Darrio, and even Ryder, and therefore they’re important to me.

Even if Nika is a seething bitch.

I peek up as her eyes narrow on me.

I wipe the terrible comment from my mind as I realize how deep into my thoughts they all might be.

Yes, I should be on my best behavior.

A stream of terrible curse words spews through my mind like a riddle that only I understand.

Silence strikes through the room.

All three women give me a weird look and it’s hard for me to hold back my laughter. This could be more fun than I anticipated.

“There are some people outside waiting to meet you,” Darrio interrupts, pulling my attention back to what we’re really here to do.

“Let her eat. She’s exhausted,” Kela says.

Ryder leans against the door frame in silence, his pale eyes meeting mine for only a second.

“I made dinner, let her eat,” Bekka tells Darrio as her hands settle high on her curving hips.
