“One attack, seven blocks,” Wave replied and then frowned.“One of those blocks came from Risha, so we are only counting six.”
Ginny’s eyes widened.“Who was attacking you to get him to block?”
“Elena.”
Ginny groaned, rubbed her temples, and groaned again.“Okay, I wish I’d seen that.I hate Elena even more than him, so I think I’m going to count seven then.”
“Whatever floats your boat.”Wave grinned and headed to her room. She needed a date with her new favorite toy.
Wavewastryingtocool off even as she unconsciously reached for the vibrator again. She realized what she was doing when the thing buzzed alive in her hand, and disgusted with herself, she threw the thing at the far wall. The vibrator kept happily buzzing on the floor, and groaning, Wave was about to get up when her door cracked open and Ginny peeked inside.
Her eyes landed first on the vibrator on the floor and then rose up to meet Wave’s eyes, tactfully ignoring her tiny excuse of a nightgown. She grinned so wide that Wave half expected her face to crack.
“There’s someone here to see you, who can probably do a better job than that thing.”
“Who is it?”she groaned, flopping back to the bed.
“Me.”A blond head towered over Ginny’s, and Wave groaned again.
“Go away, Hellion.”
Ignoring her demand, Hellion shouldered his way inside and picked up the vibrator. He turned it off and walked over, flopping onto Wave’s bed.
“Shout if you need help… or participants,” Ginny said, before escaping Wave’s thrown pillow. The door clicked shut behind her, and Wave glared daggers at it.When she turned her face to look at Hellion, he was toying with her vibrator.
“Give me that,” she snapped.
“I thought you could use something more… substantial,” he said, but handed the vibrator over.
“It’s not the size but how you use it,” Wave snarked.
“You could give me lessons,” Hellion replied.Wave expected him to be leering at her, but his gaze was pensive and a bit distant.
“Why are you here, Hellion?”She decided to get to the point so she could kick him out as soon as possible. He looked at her like she was crazy.
“The party,” he said.“I wanted to check that you’re all right.”
“I’m just fine,” Wave replied.“Your mission has been accomplished. You can go now.”
“And I wanted to apologize.”
“Now?For what?And it couldn’t wait till morning?”
“Now.I should have done it as soon as I fucked up.”He still looked morose, and Wave frowned.
“Hellion?”
“There was no bet.You just melted my brain with a single kiss and… I… I got jealous thinking about you with Jarred. And then with anyone else. And then about anyone seeing that kiss. And did I mention you melted my brain?”He looked up at her under his long lashes, pleadingly.
“Uh-huh.”Wave crossed her arms as she sat up straighter.“That’s not an apology. That’s a list of justifications, explanations, and reasoning.”
“I’m sorry I was a total asshole,” Hellion immediately said.“Please forgive me.”
“Damn it,” Wave cursed. An earnest apology like that did stupid things to her insides.Still, she glared at Hellion.“You got jealous.Right.And the next time it happens, what then? You’ll lash out at me again?I’m not your punching bag.”
“Wayla—”
“I’ll accept your apology, Hellion.I can tell you really mean it,this time.”
