I hold up my hands. “Again. I am doing no such thing.”

“Damn,” she sighs. Then she looks at me from under her dark eyelashes, hair still a tangled mess. “I did not mean to—in bed, I mean. I was asleep and thought I was dreaming about—” She stops abruptly when I think she’s about to elaborate on the dream. “And I woke up and then it was you and we were—”

I clear my throat loudly to stop her from adding to the discomfort. “Yeah, me too.” Although I don’t share the detail that I was dreaming specifically about a certain blonde cream puff sitting a foot away from me and happened to wake up to the real thing.

Fuck, the way she felt under my hands, my mouth.

I swear I touched heaven when my dick dipped into her sweet pussy and she looked up at me with glassy eyes and pink lips, puffy from my kisses.

For faefucks sake Ted, don’t start thinking about it again or you are going to pop a boner and be stuck sitting at this table for hours, unable to get up.

A jangling comes from the direction of the front door before it cracks open. Both Goldie and I jump to our feet.

We look at each other with twin expressions of surprise and guilt. Like we’ve been caught doing something we shouldn’t.

A familiar shaved head pops in.

My heart clenches so hard it could be the beginning of a heart attack.Oh witchtits. Not now.

Eli doesn’t show up unless shit has gone sideways, and as he fully steps in the house, I easily see the black eye that’s turned a good part of his temple and brow an ugly purple. I scrub a hand down my face.

Eli freezes when he realizes he’s not alone. His gaze bounces back and forth between me and Goldie, as if trying to do the math. The kid first failed every math class he ever had before skating out of high school with a minimal passing grade.

Goldie nervously tugs at her nightshirt, and I sense her discomfort.

“Uh hey, big bro,” Eli says.

Ireallydon’t want to introduce them.

So I don’t.

Turning to Goldie, I say, “You need to leave.”

Her body stiffens. I know my tone has turned cold, but it’s not her. There’s no time to explain. Hell, I never plan on explaining. I just need her out of here now, so I can deal with the fresh hell my youngest brother has brought to my doorstep.

“Thanks for the hospitality, Teddykins.” She practically bares her teeth at me.

Oh, cream puff. If I could show you the kind of hospitality I wanted, you wouldn’t be leaving, or even walking right now. As it is she does seem to be walking a bit gingerly, as if tender in some parts.

She breezes by Eli who smiles at her with an albeit confused expression. It’s only when she opens the door do I notice she’s not wearing any shoes.

For faefuck’s sake, did she leave the last two times without shoes as well?

Pointing a warning finger at Eli, I say, “Sit. I’ll be right back.”

The smile slips off his face as he shuffles to the kitchen. At least there is food to keep him occupied.

It takes no time at all to catch up to Goldie. She’s taken two steps off the porch when I call out to her.

“Wait a second, blondie.”

She doesn’t turn around, in fact, she walks faster. It takes no time at all to catch up before I sweep her off her feet and begin to walk across the forest floor to her place.

“What in the witchtits do you think you are doing?” she demands, cradled in my arms. Her hands reflexively grab my neck. Oh, I like thatwaytoo much.

Sinking into her sweet, tight heat had been heaven, and faelords help me, I want to do it again. And again, and again. But this isn’t the time.

Per usual my brothers are fucking things up.
