She held a specific charm between her fingers. “My favorite.”

The charm was a white cloud with tiny blue stars. “The sky,” I told her.

She scooted closer to me, then attached herself to my lips. We kissed and kissed. My hands traveled down the front of her, landing on her breasts.

“Thank you.” The sincerity in her eyes when we broke the kiss made my heart do some weird shit in my chest. “I love it.”

“I love you,” I assured her.

“I actually have something to share with you,” she told me, digging into her own backpack. She pulled out a little gift bag.

Taking it from her outstretched hand, I looked inside. I was confused by what I saw, so I took it out. It was a brand new, unopened pregnancy test.

My eyes shot over to hers. “You pregnant, Skyy?”

She shrugged her shoulders. “I guess we’ll find out when I take the test.”

“The fuck?”

“You married amysteriousScorpio. Whooo,” she said, sounding like a ghost.

I laughed my ass off, before pulling her into my arms and holding her close to me. “I love your ass. All those years that I imagined what it would be like to actually have you, . . . it’s so much fucking better.”

I looked down at the pregnancy test again. I would be happy either way. If she was pregnant, I would get to have a family with my best friend. If she wasn’t, we would have more fun trying to get her there. Still, I was curious to know.

“Ay, Captain!” I yelled before I kissed her lips, then stood up. “Let me have him turn this damn boat around. I hope you have to pee.”
