Was that what Mason liked? And why did I care what he liked?

Luckily, I didn’t have to think about it for long, because my phone went off with a ringtone that I was more than happy to answer.

“Sean,” I sang into the phone.

“Hey, Bug. Whatcha doing?”

Watching Mason make out with someone.

“Just putting my books away. Shouldn’t you be in class?”

“I ditched.” A disgruntled groan rang through the other end. “Physics is soooo boring.”

Why wasn’t I surprised? My brother never took anything seriously. Girls, school, his future, were all just passing whims for him. And why shouldn’t they be? Unlike me, Sean had everything handed to him on a silver platter. That’s what happened for star quarterbacks. Girls had cheerleading, and that was a hard pass for me.

“Sean,” I sighed. “You shouldn’t ditch.”

“Listen here, small fry, I may be a million miles away but I have no problem coming home to nuggie your ass.”

As much as I wanted to pay attention to my brother, I couldn’t. My lip curled as Tiffany’s tongue lunged into Mason’s mouth. Was she trying to kiss him, or eat his face? That couldn’t be pleasant.

“Who wants someone else’s tongue in their mouth?”

Sean’s tone instantly dropped. “What?”

Damnit.

“What?”

“You just said, ‘who wants someone else’s tongue in their mouth’?”

“No I didn’t.”

“Harper?” Sean sang.

Yeah, I didn’t believe that either.

“Is someone trying to stick their tongue in your mouth?”

What? Eww. “No.”

That would be gross. I cocked a brow over at Mason.I think?

Sean’s voice took on that big brother tone I heard all too often.

“Alright Harper, you’re going to tell me right now who’s trying to fuck you.”

Oh my God. “No one is.”

“You better not be lying to me,” he warned. “If I find out someone’s been putting moves on my baby sister…”

Before he could finish the threat, I cut him off. “No one’s been putting moves on me.”

I stopped as my mind went back to that day in the bathroom, and how it felt when Mason’s warm fluid landed on my skin. Did masturbation fall into the ‘putting moves on’ category?

“Harper,” Sean yelled into the other end, snapping me back into the conversation. “What the fuck is going on?”

“Nothing. Everything is fine.”
