The party lasts into the early morning hours and ends with fireworks celebrating our beloved newlywed couple. Caroline sobs as she hugs me.

“I love you so much, Tori,” she wails. “I can’t wait to watch you and Tyler continue to fall in love.”

My cheeks get hot. “Me too.”

“It could happen,” she exclaims.

“Yeah, I guess it could.”

“I’d better be one of your bridesmaids.”

I laugh. “When I get married, you’ll be at the top of my list.”

Tyler comes up behind me and wraps his arms around my waist.

“What are you talking about?”

“The future,” Caroline says, dabbing the corners of her eyes. “You better be good to my friend.”

“I intend to,” Tyler says firmly.

I watch as Caroline continues to hug her guests.

“So, I have an idea for our next date,” Tyler says, leaning into me.

“Ooh, tell me.”

“Let’s go Jet Skiing.”

I wrap my arms around his neck. “That sounds perfect to me.”

Epilogue

Ican’t believe I’ve spent so much time being afraid of taking chances. It’s been almost three weeks since I stepped into my new role as the new director of sales in our office, and I’m loving every second of it. As soon as Spencer Brady handed me the reins, I jumped right in with both feet. I’ve already started implementing new changes around the office, and it feels like we’ve come alive again.

Even Shannon seems re-energized, although it could be because I’ve gone out of my way to recognize her. She’s really embracing being our number one sales rep, and to give her credit, she’s earned it. According to Parker, our own super sleuth, Shannon claims she knew all along that I was the best person for the job. She even told me she’s glad to not have the extra pressure that comes with being in charge.

Speaking of Parker, I’ve never seen her happier. She and Spencer Brady started seeing each other the second he left our office. Their only obstacle is the distance, but Parker says they are both willing to do what they need in order to be together. Spencer has already mentioned moving closer since he travels so much. All these years of listening to Parker talk about finding love has finally come to fruition. On another note, her sales numbers have also increased. She says she wants to give Shannon some good competition, and I think it’s a great idea.

It’s amazing how quickly life can change when you least expect it.

Tyler and I have spent almost every evening together since Caroline and Andy’s wedding. We’re going Jet Skiing this weekend and having dinner with Caroline and Andy as soon as they return from Bora Bora.

In an interesting turn of events, Erica and Clint have been spending a lot of time with each other, although they claim to only be friends. He’s been very supportive as Erica picks up the pieces of her shattered life. Apparently Christian and Rachel have already moved in together. They obviously didn’t waste any time to begin their new life.

In other news, apparently Leslie met a man in the hotel lobby the day after the wedding. Of course, I heard this from Erica, since Leslie doesn’t speak to me. I didn’t ask any questions, but I sincerely hope it works out for her. Maybe Caroline will get her wish and Leslie will find love as well.

Surprisingly the bridesmaid group chat is still alive, and honestly I don’t mind at all.

Tyler is still trying to come up with the perfect name for my car. And I’ve even convinced him to let me give him a few parking lessons.

I’ve learned so much over the last few months—to take more risks and to not be so afraid of change. I’m still planning to learn how to crochet, and I also promised Tyler I’d attempt parasailing.

Caroline called it when she said she might lead me to my dream man. She believed it could happen and encouraged me to open my mind to the possibility. I’m grateful for her friendship and how it led me to Tyler. You never know what the future holds, but I’m willing to take a chance on him. Life is full of risks and sometimes they’re worth it.
