She grabs her glass and goes to the kitchen.

“Hey, Lila, don’t forget we have to talk about Theo’s birthday party,” Gabby calls, gritting her teeth and giving me a worried look.

“We will tomorrow,” she says, returning to the living room. “I have to meet a client early, so I’m heading to bed. Night, girls.”

As soon as Lila is safely in her room, Gabby moves closer to me.

“I feel kind of bad for her,” she whispers. “She told me that she’s going to break up with Jordan.”

I frown. Poor Lila, she’s had as much luck in love as I have.

“What do you say we make it our mission to help Lila find someone amazing?” A wicked smile spreads across her face.

I purse my lips. “Are you sure about that? You know how picky she is.”

“After everything she’s done for us, I think we owe it to her to help. Are you in?”

She’s right. Without Lila we wouldn’t live in this beautiful home or have each other.

“I’m in.”

Just as I crawl into bed, a text from Jeremy pops up on my phone, sending all the feels through my body. I wonder if I’m always going to have this kind of reaction when I hear from him?

Sweet dreams, Blondie. I can’t wait to see you at work tomorrow.

I smile to myself as I stretch out in my bed and think about everything that’s happened over the past few weeks. I’ve lost a friend, moved on from the past, and found someone who was in front of me the whole time. I’ve been in Miami almost a year, and I feel like my new life is finally starting. I can’t wait to see what happens next, and I’ll always be thankful for the memories.

The End
