“Oh, really? Can’t wait to hear this. Let’s see what you got.”
“The Guy from that One Summer.”
I laugh so hard, all the way from my stomach and up my chest. The laugh echoes in the room, and it causes him to laugh along with me.
“What’s so funny about that?”
“Nothing.” I grin. “It just seems so simple. So simple for us, and we are anything but simple.”
“You’re right. We aren’t that simple. But we can pretend.” He winks again, and cupping his face, I place my nose to his and shake my head.
“You’re not wrong though. It’s a good title.”
“Now you’re just stroking my ego. How about I give you something real to stroke?” And with that, he takes me in another all-encompassing kiss. A kiss that I feel from the top my head and down to the tips of my toes. It overtakes me, and just like we said, it’s anything but simple.
I lie next to my soul mate now, and it’s true. It all started when I met the guy from that one summer.
“I love you, Finn.”
“And I love you, Remy. Now… come here.”
