Instead of answering, Matt stalked toward me with predatory grace. Before I could make another market-related quip, his hands were on my chest, gripping his shirt—my strategically acquired shirt—and ripping it clean down the middle.
I gasped in mock outrage. “Matt! That’s destruction of prime real estate! I’ll have to report this to the fashion police.”
“I’ve got enough liquidity for replacements,” he growled, making quick work of my remaining clothes until I was as naked as he was.
“That’s not the point,” I started to protest, “this is clearly an abuse of shareholder priv—” My words dissolved into a moan as he covered my body with his, skin against skin, no space between us. His mouth claimed mine in a kiss that tasted of homecoming and desire, like a hostile takeover of my senses. When he finally pulled back, I was breathless and definitely ready to negotiate terms.
“Two weeks of remote management,” I panted as his lips traced my jaw, “is definitely not covered in my contract’s satisfaction clause.”
“Really?” His teeth grazed my pulse point. “Your late-night performance reviews suggested otherwise. Especially that very thorough self-evaluation on Tuesday.”
I wrapped my arms and legs around him, pulling him closer. “Please, that was barely a preliminary assessment. Though I have to say, watching you demonstrate your… assets was quite enlightening. Your ‘hands-on approach’ to management is truly revolutionary.”
“Speaking of hands-on approaches…” His fingers found my ass, kneading and squeezing in a way that made my breath hitch. “I believe we have some pending merger activities to attend to.”
“Mmm,” I moaned as his mouth worked its way down my throat. “Is this what they mean by aggressive expansion?”
Matt lifted his head, his stormy eyes meeting mine with heat and humor. “More like quality control. Can’t have my most valuable investment feeling underappreciated.”
“Investment?” I threaded my fingers through his hair, tugging lightly. “And here I thought I was a full partner in this enterprise.”
“Partner, investment, the most beautiful headache in my portfolio…” His hands continued their exploration, mapping every inch of me like a territory he needed to reclaim. “Though I have to say, these long-distance shareholders’ meetings aren’t cutting it anymore.”
“Agreed,” I gasped as his clever fingers found particularly sensitive assets. “Next time you have extended business negotiations, I’m coming with you. My coding empire is portable, unlike your ego.”
“You’d trust me with your precious laptop for two weeks?” His eyebrow arched in amusement.
“Hell no.” I laughed, pulling him down for a quick kiss. “But I trust you with my body for far longer. Besides, I can always get a new laptop. Finding another billionaire with your particular skill set would be much more challenging.”
“Is that so?” His eyes sparkled dangerously. “Care to elaborate on these… skills?”
“Well,” I drawled, running my fingers down his chest, “there’s your impressive talent for corporate mergers…” I shifted my hips against his, drawing a groan. “Your outstanding ability to handle delicate negotiations…” My hand traveled lower. “And let’s not forget your exceptional prowess in hostile takeovers.”
Matt’s laugh rumbled through both our bodies before he captured my lips again in a kiss that definitely violated several antitrust laws. “Deal,” he murmured against my mouth. “No more extended business trips without my chief distraction officer.”
“Chief distraction officer?” I mock-gasped, even as my body arched into his touch. “I’ll have you know I’m at least a Vice President of Chaos by now.”
“More like Chairman of Driving Me Crazy,” he growled, nipping at my lower lip. “Now, about that comprehensive performance review…”
“By all means, Mr. CEO,” I purred, pulling him closer. “Show me your projected growth figures. Though I must say, your current market position looks… very promising.”
Matt’s eyes darkened to thundercloud gray, a perfect storm of desire and amusement. “Time for a thorough asset evaluation, pet.” His voice dropped to that dangerous register that always made my toes curl. “I believe we’re due for an in-depth performance review.”
“Another one?” I gasped as his mouth descended on my nipples. “Your quarterly assessments are becoming rather—oh fuck—frequent.”
“Just maintaining quality control, pup.” He smirked against my skin, his tongue doing wicked things that should be illegal in at least forty states. “Besides, your responsiveness metrics are off the charts.”
Each swirl of his tongue sent sparks through my system, my body arching into his touch like we were magnetized. He took his time, the bastard, mapping every inch of my chest like he was conducting the world’s most thorough audit.
“Matt,” I whimpered as he trailed hot kisses down my abs. “Your attention to detail is admirable, but some assets require more immediate attention.”
He looked up at me, his eyes gleaming with that predatory heat that never failed to make me shiver. “Patience, brat. A proper evaluation takes time.”
When he finally reached my cock, he paused, his hot breath teasing me. “Ready for your oral examination?”
“Really?” I propped myself up on my elbows, trying to maintain some semblance of wit despite my desperation. “Did you just make an oral exam jo—oh, holy fuck!”
My attempted snark dissolved into a moan as Matt swallowed me down in one smooth motion. His mouth was sin incarnate, hot and wet and perfect. He worked me with the same precision he used in billion-dollar negotiations, each stroke of his tongue calculated to drive me absolutely insane.
