“More,” I pleaded.

“What’s that, sweetheart?” Asher asked with a shit-eating grin that made me want to snarl at him.

“I need more,” I gasped.

When Darian pulled his fingers out again, I twisted to the side, flinging my leg over Asher’s torso. I yanked his undershorts down, and his cock sprang free, his piercings glinting in the dim light.

Seriously never going to get used to that.

Asher grinned at me like he knew exactly what I was thinking, but his grin fell away, his face contorting with pleasure as I slid onto his cock and began bouncing up and down like my life depended on it.

“I thought we were only going to tease her,” Darian said with amusement from beside us.

Asher glared at him. “You try fuckin’ stoppin’ when she feels this damn good,” Asher groaned, and I grinned at the both of them.

I rocked my hips against Asher as he drove deep, and I cried out as stars burst behind my eyes, relief washing through me as I finally found my climax. But Asher and Darian weren’t done with me yet.

Cradling his arm around my back, Asher flipped me so my back was on the bed, and Darian moved toward my head as Asher continued to fuck me. I took Darian’s cock in my mouth, relishing the taste of him as Asher pounded into me, reigniting my desire and making me clench around him as pleasure built in me again.

The next time I came, Asher and Darian both came with me, the pair of them spilling into me as their muscles locked up and their bodies jerked as they found their release. When they moved back, I swallowed and stared at the ceiling as Asher tucked himself next to me again, and Darian draped an arm beneath my breasts.

Darian pressed a soft kiss to my sweaty brow. “You don’t understand what you’ve done to us, do you, lovely?” he asked lightly, and I kept silent, not sure if I was supposed to answer.

CHAPTER 14

~ Kade ~

Iflexedmyback, hating the navy-blue suit that pulled uncomfortably against my skin. Raine, my brothers, and I stood close to the raised dais situated at one end of the massive ballroom we were in. On the dais, King Chalir lounged on his silver throne as brightly painted fae females fed him morsels of food from small silver platters. The sight was sickening, and I scowled, turning my gaze away from the fae leader.

Above our heads, fae acrobats flew across the room, springing from swinging bars and holding on to one another as they twirled and spun. The movement kept catching my eye, and every time, I jerked my head upward, ready to defend against the fae.

My muscles twitched as a shadow fell over me, the fae acrobat free-falling into the air until another fae grabbed onto their arms and the pair of them swung to perch on a high platform. Clapping came from some of the finely dressed fae spread across the glossy ballroom floor.

“Relax, Kade,” Asher said, nudging me with his arm. “The fae think we saved the prince. We won’t need to fight anyone tonight.”

But my scowl only deepened at his comment. When King Chalir had arrived in the ballroom and addressed the crowd, he’d made a big show of parading Prince Azaren around and declared we were the prince’s rescuers. That we were to be treated as heroes in Zalei. But I didn’t want the fae to think I was some kind of angel to their prince. I wanted them to see me as the monster they feared those in Katakin to be. As they’d seen my mother and sister to be. I wanted to shift and destroy the ridiculous party we’d found ourselves at. The fae were merciless and hateful, and to stand there while the fae females ogled me curiously from afar was making my skin crawl. If they knew what we truly were, they wouldn’t have been staring at me like they wanted me to seduce them and take them to my bed.

Raine’s hand landed on my arm like she understood the rage coursing through me, and my fury cooled to a manageable level. “One night,” she said to me quietly. “You only have to endure one more night.”

I breathed in, dragging in her scent like it was my tether to sanity. Her smell of coconuts and steel was weaker now that I was without my wolf, but it still had the same effect. I longed to pull her against me. To disappear from this place and take her somewhere I could protect her, away from the fae, but that wasn’t part of our plan.

Before we’d been escorted to the party, the five of us had agreed to behave for the night and try to blend in. When the party was over and we were taken back to our rooms, we’d hunt down Prince Azaren and try to get answers about the curse. If he didn’t provide them, we’d scour the castle, trying to find them. The dazra’s venom would wear off soon, and we were out of time.

A fae server with pale-yellow eyes and translucent wings folded behind their back came past with a tray of food, and Raine and Asher each took a serving. The chocolate had been shaped into small roses, the petals artfully carved and sprayed with edible glitter, and they both shoved them into their mouths at the same time.

Raine’s eyes fluttered closed, and she moaned as she chewed. Asher looked like he was enjoying the dessert almost as much as she was.

My brows slammed down, and I leaned closer to Raine. “Stop moaning like that,” I growled and glared daggers at the nearest fae. “The fae are already staring at you. You don’t need to draw more attention.”

Raine opened her eyes and canted her head as she peered back at me. “The fae are staring at all of us,” she pointed out. “We’re the first humans some of them have ever seen. We should probably be thankful none of them have attacked us.” She was right about that. While the king had announced we were to be honored, the fae who didn’t look like they were lusting over us were giving us wary glances. I was confident none of the fae would defy the king and attack us at his party, but I could sense the hostility from some of the fae. We weren’t safe in Zalei.

“That’s not what I mean, and you know it,” I replied.

Raine stared at me for a moment longer. “Fine, but the next time that tray comes around, you’d better grab me some of those roses for later, where I can moan in peace.”

Asher grinned. “We don’t need chocolate to make you moan, Sharachi.”

She glared at him, but a smile teased her lips.
