Epilogue
NATE
The sun is high overhead, but the shade of the oak trees keeps Michelle and I cool as we lay together in the hammock together.
It's been nearly a year since the day I imagined us here together. Michelle has her tablet open and is reading another book for her book club. I'm more of a watching sports on TV rather than a reading type of guy, but I definitely like the way those books get her all riled up sexually and ready to try new things when she's done with them.
I shift and settle next to her, my hand moving to cover the new bump growing between us—the result of our late-night activities after Michelle having read one of her stories.
As if her books weren't enough to get the mood going, her pregnancy hormones are in full gear, and I'm all too happy to oblige when she is feeling ready to go.
I was worried that she might not be too excited for our happy little accident, but Michelle surprised me. She explained to me that during the Tobey incident, she wasn't against me already having a kid, but the level of seriousness our relationship would be amped up to if I did. But we didn't need to worry. Our love hasn't wavered since our first declarations, and it won't when I finally get her down the aisle next month to make her my wife.
“Are you asleep?” she asks.
“Nope,” I say with my eyes still closed.
I can already feel the excitement of increased blood flow to my cock at what might come out of her mouth next.
“I finished my book.”
I peek one eye open at her. She smiles suggestively at me and gives me a look that lets me know that I'm about to get lucky.
“Do you think you are up for it?” I ask, my hand moving up from the bump in her belly to the sensitive mound of her breast.
"Well, I'd suggest we make things happen out here, but we both know we aren't coordinated enough not to fly out of this thing with you landing on me or me landing on you."
“So no to naked hammock time?”
“No,” she says with a chuckle and pushes up to her feet. “But if you want to, I can be talked into naked time inside.”
I go to stand up so quickly that I spin and flop on the ground with a thump.
“Smooth, Romeo.” She chuckles as I push to my feet.
“I’d be concerned that move might have made you question marrying me, but since I’ve already put that in you.” I poke her belly softly. “I think you are stuck with me.”
She puts her arms around my next and pulls me down for a kiss. “I can think of one or two things that would be worse than being stuck with you.”
I lean down and kiss my bride-to-be and my future son's mother-to-be. I couldn't have asked for a better happily ever after for us if I wrote it myself.
