She’s just as sweet as I imagined. I flick my tongue against her clit, run circles around it, and suck it. The combination is magical and she’s falling apart within minutes. When her moans quiet and her body relaxes, I stand up and remove my jacket and shirt. Then I free myself from my jeans and position myself at her entrance. I pull her ass further down the table until she’s right on the edge, then I thrust into her with one hard, fast, powerful motion. Her hands grasp the edge of the table and she cries out, a sound that echoes through the kitchen. I don’t stop, thrusting into her again and again. Each time my thighs hit the table, the coffee in our cups slosh over the edge and spill onto the table.

Neither of us care.

I pull her up against me and carry her through the house without removing myself from her. I find her bedroom while we kiss and we fall onto the bed, completely wrapped up in one another. She pushes against my chest until I roll us over, and she takes her place on top. Her breasts bounce before my face as she rides every last inch like a seasoned pro. I grab and squeeze her hips while she grinds her clit against me. Just watching her this way is enough to make me come, but there’s no way I can quit yet. I want her to beg me to stop. I want her feeling me between her legs for days. I watch as she falls over the edge she’s been dancing on, and when she comes down, I flip her over and pull her ass up into the air, entering her from behind. With my movements, the headboard is slamming into the wall and her cries, moans, and whimpers fill my ears. I’m glad she lives in a house and not an apartment, or we’d be ruining a lot of people’s night.

My skin is slapping off hers and when I reach around and stroke her clit with my fingers, she tightens around me again and it feels like I have my dick in a vise. I feel her every quiver, every wave of her release as it washes over her. When it ends, she falls flat onto the bed, completely spent.

I kiss her shoulder blade and get her to roll onto her back. When she does, we’re going right back at it again.

Chapter Thirteen

DESTINY

Iwake in the morning and still feel tired and dragged down. Shepard and I had sex until the sun was peeking over the horizon. I didn’t beg him to stop, but I was close. Who knew that man could last so long? He didn’t leave until bright and early this morning, and when he did, I went right back to bed where I’ve been ever since. I look at the clock on the bedside table and see that it’s pushing eleven. I groan as I roll out of bed, feeling every muscle in my body stiff and sore. Just walking has my sex throbbing.

I use the restroom and then step inside the shower to wash off and shave. After I’m clean, I fill the tub with hot water and hope it eases away some of the stiffness. I don’t leave the bathroom until it’s almost noon. I still too tired to put much effort into my appearance, so I pull my wet hair up into a messy bun, throw on some leggings, an oversized sweatshirt, and leave to check on things at the office and the event center.

On my way through town, I stop at the coffee shop and I hope to run into Shepard, but the place is nearly empty with everyone gearing up for the lunch rush. I grab some coffee and drive straight to the event center just to look things over and make sure everything is ready for the party. I figure if nothing else, I’ll run into him there.

When I walk to the door, I find it locked. That’s odd. It’s never been locked before. I pull out my key and let myself in, thankful that Shepard thought to give me one at all. The room is just as we left it. The tables and chairs are still in place with their slipcovers and tablecloths. There have been some candles added in sconces on the walls, probably from the hotel decorator, but it’s too early to set up the flowers or place settings yet so nothing else can be done.

The buffet table is set up, but still completely empty, and the bar is fully stocked and ready to go. With nothing to do here and nobody to talk to, I walk back out, locking the door behind me. I drive right to my office and go through my usual list of daily activities. I check my email and reply to the urgent ones. I check my messages and return some phone calls. I end up booking two birthday parties for the following week that I need to get started on. With the party all ready and planned for the hotel, the time that Shepard and I thought we had is slipping between through my fingers. Instead of overthinking that emotion, I dedicate my time to ordering the needed supplies for the newest parties on my schedule. I order cakes, food, drinks, entertainment, and themed party supplies. When I look at the clock, it’s going on five P.M. I guess coming to work late has its perks.

I shut down the computer and start gathering my things. The door opens and I turn around, expecting to find Shepard, but it’s a man with a bouquet of flowers. “Are you Destiny Parks?”

“That’s me,” I reply with a smile, turning to face him.

“These are for you.” He sets them on my desk.

I smile as I look over the bouquet of daisies and wildflowers. “Thank you,” I say just as he’s walking out. I remove the card from the stand and read over it.

“Destiny, I’m sorry I didn’t have a chance to explain, but something came up back in NY and I had to leave unexpectedly. I hate doing this on such short notice, especially after our date, but I promise I will be back in time for the party. I know it’s in good hands. Please accept this bouquet of wildflowers as my apology. I saw them and thought of you. You light up my day just like I hope these flowers do for you. – Shepard.”

Awe, how sweet. It sucks that I won’t get to see him, but these flowers and the little message in the card makes up for it. I pick up the flowers along with the rest of my things and head out to go catch up on some sleep.

Aweek passes, and it’s finally the day of the party. I haven’t seen or heard from Shepard since I received the flowers. He’s left the entire party up to me, and I’m slightly annoyed by that. In the beginning, that’s exactly what I wanted, but things have changed in more ways than one. After we slept together, I figured that he would’ve called or sent me a message, email, something, but I’ve gotten nothing since the flowers.

I pull on my long, black dress that hugs every curve and has a slit all the way up to my hip. I pull my blonde hair into a fancy looking up-do with trundles hanging down to frame my face. I line my eyes dark, and apply bright red lipstick. I check my appearance and I’m happy with what I see. I wonder if Shepard is even going to bother showing up, or if he got what he wanted and is planning on staying gone. I hope he’s there. I hope he sees me, and his eyes bug out of his skull with excitement. This dress leaves little to the imagination with its low-cut neckline, full back showing, and the slit that shows my entire leg.

I make my way to the event center. The parking lot is still mostly empty; only the workers have arrived to get things set up. When I walk in, the big chandelier in the center of the room is lit up and the place looks amazing. The place settings are on the tables, along with the flower and candle centerpieces. The band is setting up on stage and the bartender is getting bottles opened and ready.

I walk over to the bar and ask for a glass of wine. The man immediately pours me a drink.

“Have you seen Shepard Billings, the owner?”

“I haven’t, ma’am. I just got here myself.”

I offer up a smile and drop a five into his tip jar. “Thank you.”

I check on everyone I hired to make sure everything is going smoothly. I chat with the band and the catering company, and the place starts to fill up. The band starts playing at seven on the dot and before I know it, there’s only standing room left. People are talking and mingling and dancing on the dance floor in front of the stage. And here I stand, all alone.

There are two greeters at the door, and I notice their movement when they open the door. Shepard steps in, looking down-right mouthwatering. He’s wearing one of his fancy black suits and his hair is styled neatly. His icy eyes are shining as he takes in the place. I smile when I see him step in. That is until I see the woman behind him lace her arm through his. My mouth drops open, but I spin around quickly so he doesn’t see. I pray he hasn’t seen me and hope that he doesn’t notice me.

In an attempt to look busy, I push through the door that leads back to the kitchen and I strike up a conversation with the owner of the catering company. Her team is moving around, placing hors d’oeuvres onto trays to walk around the room. Another is filling champagne glasses and placing them on trays. Most of the team is working on preparing dinner.

“How’s it going back here?” I ask the caterer.

“Great, everything is running smoothly and on time. We’re pushing hors d’oeuvres out every fifteen minutes. Does that seem okay to you, or do we need to double up?”
