"Good morning, Hubby."She says in a sleepy voice.
"Good morning, Sleepy Thang," I reply as I open my arms, and she floats into them."Why are you up so early?"
"Why are you?"
"I left my phone down here."I kiss the top of her head."Want some coffee?"I ask her."Or more sleep?"
"Coffee."I rub her arm, then cinch our hands.We walk slowly back to the main house.She asks."Why were you naked?"
"Shock and noise."
"Huh?"She tilts her head confused, and glances up at me.
I chuckle."Shock effect.Seeing someone naked has a shock effect."
She laughs."I'll say.I was certainly shocked.I can only think what went through his mind when he saw you butt naked with a knife and a confident grin that said his ass was yours."
I kiss her hand."I was going for 'you can kiss your ass goodbye.'
She chuckles.We walk a little more, then she asks."Noise?"
"Clothes make noise."
"But the music was blasting so loud!"
"Yeah, but at the time, I wasn't sure Brutus was going to operate the sound system correctly."
"What happened to Alfred?"
"He was offline."
"You mean Brutus was talking to me at the gate?"
"Affirmative."
"Hmm."She waits in the hall as I put my clothes in the laundry room.When I come out, she opens her hand, and I give her mine."I want to thank Stella too."She says as we continue to the kitchen.
"You'll like her.She's unique."
"I'm glad she's good."
I chuckle."Me too."
I power my phone on, and it begins to ding with all the emails I missed."Ugh!"I tell her."Sounds like a busy day catching up."
She slides onto a barstool, and I move to the coffee maker."I guess Alfred is still offline."
"Affirmative.I'll reset him after we eat."I pour the water in, then reach for the coffee filters.
"I'm not hungry.I just want coffee."
I eye her, and she turns away, staring at nothing.I scoop the coffee and ask."Do me a favor?Check my email for a message from Bell Helicopters."
Her eyes light up, and she reaches for my phone.I lean back on the counter while the coffee brews and watch her thumb flick the screen as she scans them.Then she grins and holds it out for me to see."Congratulations.It's ready!"
"Want to take it out this morning?"
"Absofuckinglutely!"Her eyes dance, and her body comes alive.
