She giggled. “I’m too exhausted for anything but the bed, though maybe we should rest instead. We only have a few hours before we need to start getting ready for dinner.”
“What if I do all the work?” He started walking her backwards out of their dressing room and into their bedroom.
“You know, you’re not the only one with all these sexual fantasies. I have them too, and they don’t include lying there too exhausted to move.”
“I think you’ll get a second wind. Plus, we’ll sleep in tomorrow.”
“We have meetings. Some of the world leaders are staying an extra day just to meet with you, and I have a tea scheduled with all their partners and spouses.”
He growled. “Whose fucking idea was that?”
She just laughed as her legs hit the bed. “Probably yours, my king.”
He gently pushed her back and she fell onto the plush bed. He moved over her, propping himself up on his arms. “Well, then we should have sex now because we’ll definitely be too tiredafter dinner.”
She settled underneath him. “Maybe we should start scheduling sex. Should I set up a recurring appointment on our calendars?”
“I don’t want everyone to know when we’re having sex.”
“We’d call it something else, like a ‘weekly check-in’ or something.”
He quirked an eyebrow. “Weekly?”
“Daily seems ambitious.”
“We have sex. A lot.”
“I know, and so does everyone else.” She cupped his cheek. “I hate to say it, hate to even think it, but people will know everything about us, including how much sex we have. Our staff is discreet and they’ve all signed confidentiality and non-disclosure agreements, so I’m not worried they’ll say anything. But things are changing. We probably can’t have morning sex anymore unless we wake up early for it. Shower sex is probably off the table too.”
“Fuck. That.” Logically, he knew she was right. Their lives would be more scrutinized, their schedules tighter and more restrictive. “That’s not the kind of king I want to be. And that’s definitely not the kind of husband I want to be either.”
“Then we’ll work with the staff to create a better system, but it probably won’t happen this week.”
He sighed.
“You know, I think I am finding a second wind.” She flipped them so she was on top.
“Mmmm. I had a fantasy about this too. You were naked except for your crown and riding me.”
She shook her head and started undressing him. “You know what it’s like to actually wear one of those. Maybe a simple tiara or a diadem might work, but you can barely move in the larger crowns because they’ll fall off if you do. Not to mention they are incredibly heavy.”
“So I know what to get you for our next anniversary—a tiara that will stay on while I fuck you. Hard.”
“Don’t forget to pick out something for yourself.” She finishedunbuttoning his shirt and ran a palm from his stomach up to his chest. “Mmmhmm. Yes. You naked, erect, with only a crown and my ring on your finger.”
Fuck, he was already hard simply imagining it. “I love how filthy your mind has become. I take full credit for ruining your innocent nature.”
She slid off him to unzip her dress and let it fall to the floor. “You may be my one and only, Alex, but you didn’t ruin me. You awakened me.”
She was wearing a white bustier, stockings, garter, and heels. She kept them on as she continued undressing him. His shoes fell away, then socks. His pants were unzipped and tossed to the floor with her dress.
She climbed back onto the bed and started removing his cufflinks, a special set she’d commissioned and gifted to him, which was shaped into his coronation crown and set in gold and jewels. As she leaned over to set them on the nightstand, he sat up and shrugged off his shirt, then started caressing her skin and removing the pins in her hair until it was loose and free.
When she turned back to him, he flipped them. Now she lay beneath him, clad in sinful white lingerie, her hair spread out on their bed. “Seeing you like this, I’m reminded of our wedding. After the second one.”
She smiled broadly. “We were pretty tired then too.”
He leaned down, his lips oh-so-close to hers but not touching. “And we didn’t let that stop us then either.”
