“I’m paraphrasing.”
He smiled, as if he knew she was trying to get to him.
“I’m about done with the budget for giveaways and drawings.As we discussed on Monday, I do want to send everyone home with something that has the Donovan Logistics logo on it.”
“Koozies,” he said.
“Koozies?”
“Koozies.Like for beer bottles, soda cans.You know, Koozies.”
It seemed like an odd directive, but she agreed.“Okay.Koozies.”
“Everyone likes them.”He shrugged.“Or so Cade tells me.”
“Cade?”
“He sells them at the ranch gift shop.We can get you one in December.”
The reminder that she might have taken a new job by then jolted her, and she focused on immediate business.“Is this in addition to other giveaways or do you want everyone to take them home?”
“How many people are we talking?”
“A thousand, maybe.”
“A couple for everyone.”
Her jaw almost dropped.“What happened to you being a cheapskate?”
“No one wants pens.Everyone drinks something.”
“By the way, I’m not sure whether or not you realized, but I’ve removed all the Newman Inland Marine logoed items from the conference rooms and all public areas.New office supplies and cups arrived yesterday afternoon and I made sure they were made available.”
“I appreciate you, Kelsey.”
“You’re welcome, Mr.Donovan.”
“By the way, how does that plug feel?”
“Thanks for the reminder.”But it wasn’t as if she were likely to forget about it.
“I don’t suppose you brought nipple clamps?”
“No!”
“I was teasing.”
He turned her into a mass of shock and anticipation.“Don’t you have billions to earn today?Or save?Whatever?”
“Have a nice day, Ms.Lane.Dinner?”
Confused, she scowled.“I thought we weren’t seeing each other?”
“No sex, no flogging, no masturbating, no spanks, no matter how badly behaved you might be.But I didn’t say I couldn’t feed you.”
After spending so much time together, she hadn’t been looking forward to spending the evening alone.Last night he’d gone home.As much as she would have hated to admit it, she’d missed sleeping with him.
