Walking into a bloodbath, I saw the men all staying in a circle while Crone had Dash forced up against the wall, a look of pure rage covering Crone’s face. Crone never had a good grip on his temper; however, I couldn’t say shit. I was the first to pull a gun, first to shoot, first to get angry.

The circle slowly parted as they realised I was here. My eyes weren’t on Dash. My heart was pounding at a rate it had never done before.Hayleeandstabbed, the two words repeated in my head as I reached her but there was a circle of people around her blocking me.

Iliac and Stone were talking to each other in rushed voices.

“Move!” I pushed Stone out of the way, even though he was the closest thing we had to a doctor here. I needed to see Haylee. I needed to see . . ..

“Lucian, I think it’s best you leave,” Iliac said to me firmly. Being a respected woman of the club, she had some ground, but she didn’t have the type of authority to tell me to leave my wife to bleed out.

“We don’t do hospitals, Lucian, you know that.” Stone was back and kneeling at my side over Haylee, who was laying lifeless on the bar floor, bleeding out.

It was a code—we never went to the hospital or got outsider help. A law was that if it was done at the club, it was dealt with at the club.

Never thought the law was bullshit because it always applied to members. But it also applied to women married to the club. So, do I break the brotherhood laws or do I let my wife die
