Just like she used to do.

“I don’t care if you’ve gained weight, if you have hair everywhere, if you have a backache. Hell, even if you’re missing limbs, I still feel the same for you,” I whispered into her ear. I needed her to understand, no matter what. I love her. I always have.

“I’m sleepy,” Aziza mumbled into my neck. Rolling to the side, I glanced down.

“Go to sleep, beautiful,” I said, kissing her forehead. Grabbing her closer, she placed her hand against my throat. She let out a deep breath before her body relaxed enough and she was asleep.

“Youknow, outofthe six years we’ve known each other. I never thought you could do this,” Zane muttered behind me.

Shrugging, I don’t take my eyes off John Walker. After Aziza fell asleep, I struggled with wanting to lie with her in bed. To fall asleep and wake up next to her. But I couldn’t take John fucking Walker off my mind—the way he touched her, grabbed her.

I ignored Zane. Stepping forward, I snipped one of John's fingers off. He thrashed around, screaming. Blood poured onto the concrete ground, and a smile lay at my lips as I watched John scream.

“Damn, Kill, never thought I’d see this day,” Zane said behind me. Ignoring him again, I waited for John to stop screaming like a little girl.

“So, John, I would like to know why you thought you could touch someone who doesn’t belong to you.”

“I—I didn’t kn—know,” He stuttered out, his eyes falling closed.

Stroking my jaw, I tried to calm my breathing.

“It doesn’t matter if you knew or not. You shouldn’t touch a woman that isn’t yours. She’s mine!” I yelled. Grabbing the bat from the corner I turned back towards the worthless shit hanging there.

“No, no, no please. Don’t, ST—STOP. DON’T LET HIM DO THIS…” I tuned out his yelling. Swinging the bat, I connected with his kneecap. A deafening shriek escaped his mouth. I didn’t let up as I swung the bat over and over again.

“She’s mine! MINE, MINE, MINE!” the words leave my mouth.

I swing the bat, relishing the feeling. I wouldn’t say I missed the darkness it brought me. The madness she brought me. She made me crazy.

“Killian…” I could hear Zane say more behind me. The words weren’t forming but I could hear the muffled sounds. Instead, I flourished in the feeling of John's bones cracking, in his screaming.

Brandon screamed and filled the basement as I slammed the knife into his side again. I watched as the blood poured down, hitting the pavement. I smiled.

“P—please.” Brandon struggled to speak. It only made me smile more. I loved it. I loved the pain in his eyes, the way he thrashed around, begging for his life.

“Shut up!” I snapped, our faces too close for comfort.

“I didn’t kn—know.”

“BULLSHIT!” I screamed. “She’s MINE, MINE, MINE, MINE.” I stabbed him.

Repeatedly I stabbed. I couldn’t stop myself. I had to get rid of him, of fucking Brandon.

She was mine. I don’t care if she was sixteen, and I was twenty. I don’t care what people thought. I didn’t care. She was mine. Mine to do with as I pleased.

Brandon was going to realize that.

The sound of my phone ringing caused me to stop mid-stab. It was her. It had to be. She was the only one who called.

Dropping the knife on the table I quickly wiped my hands off before swiping to answer.

I didn’t even get to say anything before she started talking.
