“Hmmm… You drive a hard bargain.”

“Yes, I do. Get used to it.”

As he captured my mouth, I wrapped both legs around him, the joy spreading through me like wildfire. He swept his tongue inside and I was no longer thrown by the incredible display of emotions or desires.

Yes, my mother had been devastated, telling me she hated me but in the last week, she’d invited me to lunch and we’d made up in a way, able to talk things through. Would we ever be close? I doubted it, but that was okay.

I had a new family and one I adored.

Life was good.

Especially for the girl who’d formerly had pink hair.

It wasn’t every day that a girl found the perfect man. And my Prince Charming was nestled inside a very bad man swathed in suave clothing. He was perfect, so much so I was breathless almost all the time.

Especially today as I stood by the ocean waters of the South of France, Sofiya and Daniella my bridesmaids. It was a spectacular day, not a cloud in the sky.

As we both said our vows, I wondered if anyone could possibly be as happy as we were.

And when Vadim lifted my chin with a single finger, gazing into my eyes, I knew we’d both found everlasting love.

Who knew that was possible?

It was.

And I never planned on losing it or the man of my dreams.
