“I know Trey—”

"No, Derek. It’s the fact that you feel the need to watch his back so he doesn't fuck someone behind my back. If he does, then he does—"

“No, Sky, you don’t get it. I’ve never seen Trey like this with a girl, ever. So it’s not about him fucking some girl behind your back. I’m watching his back so that he doesn’t fall down the fucking rabbit hole.”

I shake my head as I walk past him. "You're watching his fucking back so he doesn't get caught." As I get in the house, I slam the door, then walk back over to Trey. “I’m going to finish the last of my packing."

"Shorty," Trey says as I walk up the stairs. He obviously wants to know why Derek has pissed me off. Well, he can ask Derek himself.

I never really looked up Trey King's stories on Google. I'm the last person that should judge someone by their past or what people think of him, but maybe I should've gotten an idea of what his dating history is like. I've seen girls throwing themselves at him at the club. But, when I'm there, he sees what he's coming home to. Three weeks is a long time for a guy not to have sex, and Derek’s going to cover it all up for him.

Trey walks up behind me. “Derek won't be covering anything up because there’ll be nothing to cover.” His lips press softly to my neck. “He shouldn’t have said that to you.”

"I think I'm just a little on edge knowing that I'm leaving tomorrow, and a part of me doesn't want to."

"I don't want you do go either, but you love your job, and I don't think we're there yet for me to ask you to quit—to live with me. Or maybe we are." I smile, knowing that he knows we aren't there, but trying to assure me.

"No, we aren’t. If it’s like this the first time we have to leave each other, how’s it going to be when—”

“How about we do one trip at a time, one visit at a time?” Trey wraps his arms around me. “Nothing’s going to stop us being together. I think Madison’s been trying hard enough to break us up.” He lets out a chuckle. “She's on a mission right now, and if we can beat her, then I think we can survive anything. Are we good?” he asks, Kissing the top of my head.

“Sorry,” I say. I know these are my emotions speaking more than anything else.

"The first time is always going to be the hardest. Shorty, I hate this too, I do, but for now, this is the way, and I know that it'll make sure stronger than we already are."

Maybe he’s right. Only two things are going to happen. One, it makes us stronger or two, it ends us.

"Come on, the time will fly by,” Calvin tells me as we get in his car to go back to my house. “Plus, you have to think how horny you’re going to be when you see him. The sex is going to be fucking crazy.”

This morning was horrible. I just didn’t want to leave Trey, I wanted to stay there longer. Trey took me to the airport, but I told him that next time, I’m going to the hotel the night before, so the morning of the flight wouldn’t be so bad. That’s still going to be hard, but at least I wouldn’t have red eyes on the flight back home.

“Sky, phone him tonight, get some phone sex in there.” Calvin shuts the car door as we get on our way back to my place.

“Do you have anything planned before we go to New York?” I ask him. I plan on sleeping for two days, then I need to get a few things for the house.

“No. Finn and I have a few things to go to. One friend is having a housewarming party, and the other is having a house party, but I have no idea what for. Do you want to come?”

“I think I'll pass, but you have a good time. I’m thinking of buying a few sexy things to tease Trey with,” I tell him. I thought I could buy some sexy lingerie, and while I’m out shopping, I could go to the adult shop and take a picture of a new vibrator to tease him with.

“That’s it, Sky, tease him.” Calvin starts laughing. “Was Dave able to sort the shit out with your parents?”

"Nope, I have to repay Dave him for giving money to my parents. They just kept knocking on the fucking door."

I’ve never hated my parents as much as I do right now. They’re going to my friends now. I’m meeting up with a lawyer this week to see what I can do, but I know there isn’t much. I know I can say no, but they never leave. One day, I know they're going to take every penny I own, and even then, they'll never leave me alone.

“They seem to be getting worse,” Calvin tells me, and I don’t argue with him because it’s true.

"The fact that my dad was in the hospital for taking too much coke says a lot if you ask me." The amount they take and drink, you think they’d be dead by now, but it looks like the devil doesn't want them either.

It doesn't take long to get to my place from the airport, and I'm still laughing.

"Didn't take them long.” Calvin says as we both look at my parents sitting on the pavement in front of my house. "You're not giving them any money."

"Phone the police," I tell Calvin as I get out of the car and make my way to my parents to speak to them. "I'm not giving you any more money, the police will be here so—"

“We just need some for the month.”
