Your Side of the Offense

Harvey starts for the stairs, then stops. "Wait, did he just sleep now?"

"No, we…we fell asleep." I want to kick myself as all their eyes sharpen on me.

Jaden smirks a little before he goes back to seasoning some meat.

I don't look Caleb or Harvey's way and start walking after I clear my throat.

Heading to my side of campus.

GIRLFRIEND MODE

Summer

As I walk into my building, I think about Logan.

Okay, Su, game on. Girlfriend mode activated.

I fire up my messages to text Logan.

Are you back yet?

I walk in and he doesn't reply immediately like he normally does. Maybe he's busy.

I knock on Hazel's door to check if she's here and no one answers. She must be out.

Damn, why is everybody unavailable now that I have time? I unlock my door and walk in. Sighing, I look around. I must have left in a rush. I need to tidy up in here.

My phone chimes.

Almost finished. I'm coming over when I'm done. Pizza or dumplings?

Logan and I share a love for dumplings and it’s one of those things I really like about him.

You know your girlfriend. What do you think?

*laughing face* Dumplings it is then winky face*

I smile. Then I remember to unblock all four of them. I can't believe I have had them blocked everywhere since we broke up. That is definitely a record.

I contemplate whether to tell them I've unblocked them or just wait until one of us needs to reach out. On one hand, I don't want to start getting messages from them in the witching hours about something we can't get back, but on another how will they know I have unblocked them.

Why is this so hard?

I take my phone to the charging pad and set it down before I rid myself of my clothes. I cover my face with cleanser and tidy up my room. When I finish, I shower, put on shorts and a loose t-shirt, and hike my hair in a high loose bun. Then sit at my desk and I get into some work before Logan comes.

He arrives sometime later.

He smiles and a brown paper bag with the logo of the Korean place greets me in all its glory.

I take the package and it reveals his face. I pull him in a kiss, and he groans and pushes me backwards, closing the door. When we pull apart, he has that familiar lust in his eyes.

"I missed you.".

"I missed you too." I bat my eyelashes for him, and he grins.

I turn to place the food on the desk and take out plates. He settles himself in my bed after removing his football jacket.
