The ring was gold with a big pink diamond. There were five smaller, normal diamonds on each side of the pink one and one on the top and bottom of it.
I never had a pink diamond ring in my entire life, mostly because a real pink diamond cost a fortune and I’d rather have worn no jewelry than fake diamonds.
“Do you like the ring?” he asked, holding my hand in his.
“Like? I love the ring!”
As he looked at me, eyes filled with so much more admiration than I ever grasped before. It felt like our souls merged together, deciding that I was either going to be with him or nobody else. To be fair, it could’ve also been me recalling the stuff Milo’s been telling me in my sleep like some sort of subliminal message.
He usually fell asleep before me, but who even knew with this guy?
“Good, because I also got you matching earrings and necklaces. They’re all non-refundable.”
I fell forward against his body, laughing. “Plural?”
“Of course. My fiancée needs some variety.” Milo pressed his lips to the side of my head. “Now, come on, let’s get some food inside of you so I can take you home and fuck you all night long.”
“You’re always such a romantic.”
The End
