Jared smiles and almost sets off a cascade of sparkling reflections around the glassed in lobby from the glittering warmth of his grin.

“I'm staying here actually,” he says, finally letting me off the hook with gentlemanly gallantry.

His eyes are vivid with humor and, unless I'm fantasizing, more than a smidgeon of lust.

“And you three adorable ladies all look parched. Can I buy you a cocktail?”

“Yes. Please.” Allie immediately replies.
