I was raised for one thing: hunt vampires, kill monsters, protect the innocent. But then Luca da Firenze walked into my life and destroyed every rule I live by. Now I’m trapped in a web of Mafia bosses, supernatural politics, shapeshifters and witches. Luca says I’m his. Fate says we’re bound. But is this love, or an ancient spell stealing the choice from both of us? He saved my life, but the more I learn, the harder it is to tell whether he’s my salvation or my greatest threat. War is coming, and I’m ready to fight. With him. For him. Or against him. Only time will tell.

Luca
I never asked to rule a Mafia vampire court. I never wanted to become the monster everyone fears. And I certainly never asked for Rosa Capelli—the fierce, beautiful vampire hunter who sees straight through my darkness and still has the power to bring me to my knees. She is the one thing I cannot afford to lose, and the one weakness my enemies will use against me. Every crown is paid for in blood, and mine is no exception. To protect her, I will betray old alliances, destroy ancient enemies, and become whatever kind of king this war demands. But I cannot be a king without my queen. The world may be determined to tear us apart, but I will carve my way back to her—one bloody step at a time.
