His to Heal

Five years ago, I made a horrible decision, and broke up with the love of my life.

I told myself it was the right thing to do. That my career was more important than him.

Now I’m back, and working at the Obsidian Hospital, ready for a fresh start.

There’s just one problem: my ex never left.

He’s now the leading surgeon at the hospital, and another woman is trying to get him to propose.

Last week, we were assigned to co-lead a team protocol together.

But in the OR, our bodies remember what our minds tried to forget.

Then a horrible event strands us at a district hospital.

There’s only one hotel room, and one bed.

We try to fall asleep on opposite sides…

But in the morning, we wake up in each other’s arms.
