I left that night thinking I was doing what was best for both of us. We both deserved better than what we were able to give to each other. I needed someone who could deal with the chaos, who didn’t make me feel like I was too much. I needed someone to quiet the storm even if only for a little bit.
He needed… Well, whatever was the complete opposite of me.
