After getting out of rehab, Bittern settles in at Ryder Ranch. Still recovering from a difficult past back home, he’s determined to build a new life for himself in Montana. Working on the ranch is the uncomplicated life he’s always wanted.
Until he sets eyes on the ranch manager’s daughter.
Fresh off a breakup, Janie returns to Ryder Ranch for a long weekend. She’s not interested in dating again so soon, but when she sees the newest wrangler, stoic and unassuming Bittern Hatfield, she can’t stop thinking about him.
Neither of them are ready for a relationship, but fate has other plans. Slowly, Bittern opens up to the idea of having a better future and Janie begins to wonder if her life in the city is what she wanted after all.
