Grayson:
When I drove up to Scotts Bluff last year, I never expected to find the woman of my dreams standing so close to the cliff. I also never realized the mountain I would need to climb just to get her to acknowledge me. But I knew she was mine, and I was up for the challenge. That was until an accident at the ranch made climbing that mountain impossible.

Jessie:
My best friend was the writer of all things romance. Just never thought I’d get the chance at my tall, dark and handsome. And he was a cowboy to boot! Too bad it would never work. City and country didn’t mix; only he didn’t get the memo. When an accident at the ranch happens, his family hires me to step in and give him the help he needs. Too bad I can lead a horse to water, but I can’t make it drink.

Now with forced proximity in full force, he’s quickly stampeding through my walls faster than I can build them. But when my past unexpectedly shows up, will he hold on tighter or ride off into the sunset without me?

Welcome back to the small town of Diamond Creek, Nebraska, where a local cowboy is about to meet his match with a feisty scared cat who’s afraid of her own shadow. Throw in a temperamental horse, long-lost relatives and a dead body, and well… the local cowboy is about to learn that no matter how hard he tries, sometimes staying in the saddle is harder than it looks.
