Moving away from everything I knew is an experience I never thought I’d have. But when our pack alpha, my father, was violently deposed, leaving me as chattel, the new alpha thought would make a useful second mate, I fled. Over the next several years, I made my way across the country, finally running out of steam in a small city I hoped would offer me a better future than the home I’d lost.
